A new "all-in-one" SONY Vaio computer... not arrived yet, but already paid for :P I will cry with the 20.1" monitor, after 3 years with just the 12" one of my trusty Thinkpad X60s laptop.

^ Mine's three years old now. The thing is, the insurance doesn't actually go down with age here. With the exception of the 5% bonus you get every year if you don't cause any crashes.

I'm curious, what do you get for those 1000€?
It covers up to 3.000.000€ in case of death in an accident, it covers stealing, burning, natural phenomena, riots and vandalism, it pays my expenses in full if a window breaks, it pays in full the legal expenses if an accident case is being brought to court, I have 4 free car rescues in case my car breaks down on Italian territory and 2 if I am abroad (per year), it pays up to 50% of the expenses in case I am the one who caused the accident and of course they give me the International Green Card for a wider assistance while abroad, on top of the rescues...

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I can't quite recall right now.

^ How's that going for ya?
It's supposed to help with the insomnia. It's 2:30am. :(

^Aw, I'll live. I'm not even near my record. A couple of years ago I went 7 full days without sleeping! I'm on 3 now, but am actually feeling like tonight might be the night.
That sucks. :( How long have you been doing decaf? A couple years back, I was having general sleeping problems and it was because I was doing too much soda. Even when I cut back on it, it still took a couple of days to start sleeping well again because my body was then stuck adapting to not havig that caffiene surging through my veins. Maybe you're still just getting used to decaf?

Gotcha, thanks for the info. :)

Today I bought the DS Medical Tricorder and the fourth season of Weeds!

I can't wait to watch the DVD's but I have already been playing with the Tricorder. It is so freakin cool! All the lights and sounds are nifty but I love the hand held sensor. Up until about a minute ago I was walking around with it slung across my torso like Spock. So now I have the TOS phaser, communicator and tricorder. All DS needs to do is create McCoy's hypospray leg holster and I will be in business. :bolian:

(I also bought a couple of Smurf figurines from Amazon to go on my desk at work but they won't be here until tomorrow. I wish I could find a figurine of Astro Smurf. :( That would be so cool but unfortunately the don't make him anymore.)

Well, I could never go entirely decaf, I do it only when the insomnia is really bad (like now). But for the past 5 months or so I have cut down to only one or two (usually) caffeinated drinks a day, and no caffeine 6 hours before bedtime. It's actually not too bad.

I just got my car ensured for another year. Damn that was expensive, 1450€ for full coverage.

Yikes.

I had to spend money on my car today too. Over £100 on getting a new reverse switch fitted 'cos the car was getting stuck with the reverse lights/rear parking sensors on. Not funny when in a traffic jam with someone pulled up close behind me and I can't stop the damn system beeping...

Anyway, all fixed now, and the garage comp'ed me breakfast at the cafe opposite while I was waiting for the work to be finished. And I got the anecdote value of getting to meet David Cameron (Britain's next Prime Minister... one hopes!) since he came in to get breakfast there at the same time. Seemed a nice bloke.

What else, oh yes, new shoes! I don't usually buy shoes mail-order, but I couldn't find a nice pair at a decent price elsewhere so I took a chance and got lucky with the sizing...

A smoked spiced salmon fillet, on a bed of spinach and quartered new potatoes, from the fridge in M&S. With a side of mozzarella and sundried tomatoes. 'Twas good.

"Fabulous" is a great word. It deserves to be used as often as possible. :D
