I got this as my father's day present to myself

The accuracy with this pistol is fantastic.

Plastic grips and body?

The slide (the top part) and all its internals (barrel, striker, guide rod, spring) are metal. The frame (the lower part that has the trigger and grip) is made out of polymer, but has metal internal parts. Its a big way to reduce the weight of the pistol. Most semi automatics follow this formula these days. It was (IIRC) successfully pioneered by the Glocks, which were invented in Austria.

Lacuna Coil's new album Shallow Life - which has been out for two months and I didn't know  - and the Star Trek soundtrack from iTunes.

Also, Guitar Hero: Greatest/Smash Hits (some issue with the name in the UK, I believe) for the Xbox 360 and Rock Band: Unplugged for the PSP.

Books, some I've read before and some I haven't:

"The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" and "Stranger In A Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein
"The Colour of Magic" and "The Light Fantastic" by Terry Pratchett
"Chickenhawk" by Robert Mason
"Dispossessed: An Ambiguous Utopia" by Ursula K. Le Guin

I picked up a nice glass-topped side table for my library/wardrobe/music room/ritual chamber.

Plus, the remainder of my bedroom and living-room sets will be delivered on Tuesday.

Just in time for my first monthly payment. :vulcan:
