Your latest purchases, cont.

A guide to the value of Marx trains as my grandmother sent three boxes full of them home with me, a copy of Silver Streak on DVD, and several days worth of groceries.

Nothing.

I was going to buy enough food to eat for 2 or 3 days, incense, cat food, and munchies. Got it all in the hand basket, unloaded it on the conveyor belt, and the cashier says,"The computer's down, cash only, no credit or debit cards."

So today's going to be pretty thin.

That really sucks.

I hear ya. Something similar happened to me a while back. I started carrying a folded 20 deep in an unused pocket of my wallet just in case something like it happens again. It's been in there a couple of years now. I don't usually use cash, but I now keep one bill one hand just in case.

Today, bought groceries for a BBQ.

a Johnny Rocket shake, purchased at the fucking Chicago airport where I have fucking been since 9:00 this fucking morning and only fucking landed in Omaha five minutes ago - at 10:30 at night.

Not that I am bitter or anything.

Oh, and somebody please shoot me.

Congratulations!

Thanks! Now I start going back to the ones I like best.

Yup, Toronto would love to see you back whenever you feel like coming.

Oh, I'll be back soon, believe you me. I had an absolute blast in Toronto. I liked the city - and Rogers Centre - very much.

I don't think I'll have time to go back there next year, but I'm definitely keeping it in my mind. :)

At least I know that whenever I do get back to Toronto, the Union Pearson Express will be done! :techman:

Yes it will. Union station has been a horrible mess for a couple of years due to a complete renovation above and below ground. The crowning achievement, though, in everyone's mind will be the rail link from downtown to the airport. Finally. Now if we can only extend the GO train past Oshawa up to Cobourg. (It's closer to Kingston)

Anyway, latest purchase - a 6 pack of 1664 Blanc.
