Hubby got the Nexus phones out of the box and actually working. I've never had a smart-phone before, so it takes some getting used to, but I like it so far. It will come in handy when I visit my folks or find myself lost downtown.

Two books: ST: TNG The Body Electric and Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (I needed a new copy to replace the one I lost).
A little takeout dinner for the evening since I didn't really have enough ingredients cobbled together to cook anything.
Some groceries for the weekend leading up to Christmas.
Some gold-plated accessories (tie bar, cufflinks, etc.) to go with my gold-plated watch.
EDIT: Actually, my very latest purchase is a coffee mug, to replace the one I broke last night.
It was one of a set of four, in a line that was discontinued years ago. But--eBay to the rescue!
