I have just ordered "Trillions of Trilligs" from Amazon. This is a pop-up ST book and this is the first copy I've seen at a reasonabke price.
...also 9 cryptic crossword books. I used to be able to get these (the good ones from the broadsheet newspapers) at charity shops or the discounters. Sadly, they have become rarer and rarer finds so I am reduced to paying real money for them.

I just bought some snapback cap fasteners online. I got three caps, which i like, whose fasteners are broken and i got a friend who has a sewing machine to to sew the new fasteners into those caps. She is willing to do it for free. The shops that i earlier inquired about repair, quoted prices that were more than the worth of those caps themselves.

Bought bubble tea. I’m at a place that requires you to self-order on a screen and pay for it there. There’s a cash register but it’s unmanned. The employee is right there hiding behind the counter wall just waiting for the order. No human interaction until the drink is finished. Second place I’ve been to like this. Maybe it’s a franchise.
Moen Laken bathroom faucet, groceries and cat food at Costco, an 8" electric stove top replacement element from Lowe's Hardware. While I was getting the stove top element, I checked the price on the same brand and model of faucet at Lowe's. The Costco warehouse price was $69.99 ($79.99 online), Lowe's wanted $149.99 in the store.

As do the vending machines in the subway stations which fortunately I never had to use since I had the mobile apps.
A lot of the places I ate at in Germany last year (including the McDonalds at Berlin Hauptbahnhof) were like that. Makes sense since they get a lot of tourists - the machines all have different languages available.
