Your latest purchases, cont.

I haven't treated myself in a while and the last time the wife allowed me to buy some toys was about five months ago with the newest addition to my phaser arsenal and cosplay prop collection and that in the right hands is capable of subduing both Klingons and Mr. Adventure.

Of all my phasers, it has one of the best fits in hand and is well balanced which is more important in a hand weapon (even a fictional one) than simply what's popular and has name recognition (Glock lover's take note).

I like that the smaller Phaser One detaches for those covert landing party missions that require keeping the Prime Directive in mind. The only con compared to Diamond Selects other props is the four different force setting sounds are very similar to each other and the LED on the front stopped working after the first three months of use and I see no easy way to replace it even if it was possible. It does however look very sharp on one's daily uniform of choice when you're ready to beam out into the world of reality.

Overall, it is a good addition to my collection and I'm satisfied; even if my wife felt the need to remind me that this isn't reality, but fantasy .

About fifty new things for my newly-adopted doggo, Dave, including an ergonomically-designed, orthopedist-recommended memory foam bed that cost almost as much as my first car...

He is currently asleep on top of the other dogs :p

Polish for my cast iron stove - an old pot belly that's been in the family since the 1870s - and a new chimney and chimney cap because I live in a log house...

Safety first, and no one wants a fire here !

Wow, that stove sounds awesome.

You're in Germany? For some reason I've thought you were in the US all this time we've both been on here.

I dropped my tablet in the bathroom yesterday, and it bounced off the toilet and cracked the screen, so I got myself a new one today. I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8'', but when I got home I realize my old one was a 10'', and I want a bigger screen for watching videos, and reading novels and comics, so I'm going to return it tomorrow, and order a 10'' on Amazon after Christmas. The crack isn't real big, so I can make do until then.

Quite sure I mentioned being a German several times before, but I also don't blame you for not keeping track of where everyone on the board is from. Just recently thought about it and realized London in the UK was the farthest west I've been thus far.

A book - ‘Memories of the Andes’ by Coche Inciarte who was one of the survivors of the 1972 Andes Plane crash. This is the 6th book that was written by one of the survivors, the other 5 are those written by Nando Parrado, Roberto Canessa, Pedro Algorta, Eduardo Strauch and Carlitos Paez. Canessa’s book deal more with his life as a paediatric cardiologist more than his survival on the mountain.

the best smelling pipe tobacco I have ever smelled. It's amazing. I could just leave it sitting like potpourri but I'd want to eat it.
