Your latest purchases, cont.

^I got the LCD (LED) model as the OLED is waaaaay out of my price range (for the moment anyway) ;)

Still, even though the blacks aren't as dark as they could be, I can definitely tell a huge difference in picture quality (although it took a few days to get used to the Trumotion judder)

I finally picked up the 55" LG 4K TV I'd been eyeballing for a while. While there's not a lot of 4K content available right now, I did upgrade my Netflix to 4K and Jessica Jones looks absolutely amazing on it. It even upscales regular TV and Blu-rays to near 4K. My parents had been contemplating getting a 4K set as well, so I had them come over and popped in Star Trek: First Contact (which is one of the shittier looking BDs I own) and showed them the Battle of Sector 001 and I think they might be on their way to pick one up :)
I'm waiting to pick one up myself, hoping the prices will drop some before the Super Bowl. If not, then after, when the new ones announces at CES start hitting. I'm looking at Sony either the XBR75X910c or the XBR75X930c. The prices have been holding since after Christmas but since I'm in no hurry, I'll wait. I may consider buying the XBR65X930c or XBR65850c, but I want to hold out for 75" if I can.

Eagles Hell Freezes Over CD
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga Cheek to Cheek CD
Ordered a copy of Labyrinth off of Amazon -- hoping it arrives by February 1st

I'm glad you're happy about your new TV. My current one is about 8 years old now (and it's only 46") so I'm thinking about getting a new one (65"). I REALLY like the LG OLED TVs, but man they sure are expensive.

The 65" Sony TVs are also on my short list. Too bad the 850c can't do proper HDR. It's still on my short list, but the HDR thing is a big minus.

I got my cat a contraption to start playing with her food instead of gulping it down as fast as felinely possible:

Sometimes I wish I could get a similar product for humans though... I know plenty people who treat meal times as magic dissapearing of food tricks time.

The 850c is $1999 at Bestbuy, which is a pretty good deal but I agree with you the reason I wouldn't do it is because of the lack of HDR.
