That crime fiction box sounds awesome!! Is it available for download or can it be purchased somewhere? My sis and I are both crime fiction fans and that calendar would be just the thing for both of us.
(edit: now I see it's books! cool =) My office's stupid firewall blocks all pics and I usually post during my lunchbreak)

We have 4 "wish trees" in my town. Poor people may send their wish lists (worth up to 39 Euros) to the town hall. There the wishes get printed onto stars and the names get encoded. These stars are used to decorate the 4 wish trees. Passers by can pick a star, fulfill the wish, wrap the item up nicely and stick the star on top. These presents are collected at the town hall and later distributed to the wishers. The wishes on those stars that don't get picked, get fulfilled by local charity so that everyone is granted their wish.
As my Christmas gratification was a bit larger than last year, I used the surplus and got a sweater and a scarf for an old lady and a perfume for a teenager :)

And I bought a bunch of cherry twigs for my mom. In Germany, it's custom to cut twigs of flowering trees on Dec 4th (St Barbara's Day). In a warm room they will flower precisely on Christmas. As my parents' town is rather snowed up atm, my old folks can't go into the garden to cut a few twigs themselves. So I got these for them in the market and bring them when I drive home for Christmas.

That's a nice tradition.

It is sold by an Australian bookstore. It contains mainly paperbacks but some hardcovers as well. As far as I know they only post them out to Australian addresses. Mine cost me $AU170 including postage (about $US112 or 104 Euros). By the time I got to the ninth book I had recovered the cost I paid at least according to Amazon Australia prices.

Book 7 to 11.

I finally used the Amazon gift card I got for Christmas and got a bird toy for one of the animal sanctuaries I follow on Instagram, and the Kindle versions of collected edition of The Amazing Spider-Man: Big Time comic book, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The High Country, and Desert Cursed Book 4: Oracle's Haunt.

A cap from Liverpool FC.

It's my nephews' favorite soccer team. I'm taking them to a Giants/Dodgers game this summer (they live in San Rafael, just across San Francisco Bay) so I thought I'd dress up. :)
