Two more plush penguins for my collection. One is a mom and chick, where they're looking at each other, and the other is an Emperor penguin in a "belly-whopping" position (where the penguin propels itself across the ice/snow on its belly with its flippers and back feet). They're all adorable. 
Broke down and bought an Avenue top from Amazon. I'd been eyeing it for weeks. It's a blue, embellished knit top with small rhinestones---TOTALLY not something I'd usually wear; I don't DO sparkle. However, it was a lovely shade of blue and had bell-sleeves. I'm a sucker for bell-sleeves. So, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. But it won't arrive for 7-10 days.
Three books: Sea Wolves, The Grid, and Cro-Magon. History, public policy, and history/anthropology, respectively. All on sale as ebooks for $2..

I wasn’t deliberately Christmas shopping. I just happened to see something perfect for my grandson in a place where I wouldn’t expect to see anything at all for an infant, so I grabbed it.
It being the season for this sort, I bought a bottle of sloe gin yesterday.
Now I have the problem of what to mix it with to make my first sloe gin cocktail of the season

The old ones died the other night, so I had to get new speakers for my computer.
I should not post about buying gin -not anywhere ... this guy I know has warned me that he's dropping in on me tomorrow for a Sloe Gin Martini 
Flu shot (it was free, so technically I didn't purchase it).
