Picked up my prescription reading/computer glasses a couple hours ago. The reading part is fine. The computer part is not. Heading back to the optician...
Update/Rant: So they'd made the top part of the lens for distance, not for the computer as I'd ordered. If they'd been even a bit apologetic, I wouldn't have really minded, because, yeah, people do make mistakes. But they didn't apologize, and I am thoroughly pissed. She also tried to tell me that I should be wearing glasses full time anyway, as though that justified their mistake. This is an "eyewear consultant", not an ophthalmologist or optometrist or even licensed optician. I can pass the driving test, and I haven't worn glasses at all, except for reading, since my cataract surgery in June. Does that sound like someone who needs to be wearing glasses
all the time?

Oh yeah, when I ordered the glasses a few weeks ago, I also had to go back a second time because they couldn't find my ophthalmologist in their data base, and they couldn't just input her license # even though I was showing it to them on the state licensing board's own website, and her office was closed for the day. And they were rude that time, too. Needless to say, I won't be using this place ever again. Okay, end rant.
