My wife often will find a shirt (blouse? top? whatever..) that she likes and will buy it in 2 or 3 different colors. If she finds something she really loves she'll buy an extra and stash it in the closet for when the first one gets worn out.
^ I used to kind of laugh at women who did that, too. Then I figured out that it makes a lot of sense, at least for those of us who have trouble finding clothes that we really like.
