Your Alternative User Names

I originally started registering as just Malakai on some boards, after the character from Stargate SG-1's Window of Opportunity, but it was taken on enough sites that I added the title Gep, borrowed form a short story by Paul Di Filippo. If I were going to change my username here, I'd probably go with Gepard, German for cheetah, and which would allow people to still cal me Gep for short. I only haven't done it because it would be too easy to confuse with names like Gertch at a cursory glance.

Don't worry, no one could ever confuse you with Gertch. I sort of like Gepard, especially considering your finished proof-of-concept commercial.

If it's Adm_Hawthorne, it's me. I haven't changed my handle in 10 years. (Well, the Adm_H on TK isn't me, but that's a long, drawn out affair...)

I see no reason to change my name. Adm_H is me. :)

Santaman everywhere, tried to change it some years ago but changed it back within the second...

I changed my name for a while, but decided to come back to 'doubleohfive' not long after.

Apart from this, I'd probably just steal Spaceman Spiff's idea and re-name myself Baby Jesus and just post "*cries*" in whatever thread I'm responding to.

I've always gone by Mr. B and I don't expect that to ever change. I do use nx_2000 and tagmisterb as user ID's for accounts that don't allow spaces or have minimum character requirements.

When i first joined a bit over a year ago i came in as trekgirl since that's been my email addy ever since day one. It also use to be on my car's license plates. But then, one day out of the blue i realized i was meant to be Yeoman Randi (as i had always wanted to be Yeoman Rand, i'm a kirk slut and my name is randi.) I really don't visit any other sites, other than ebay. I was known on there for 11 years as randi98, but changed it about six months or so ago to yeoman-randi, just to keep everything the same. I'm very anal that way. :rommie:

I don't forsee me changing my name here. Im rather fond of the name Yeoman Randi!

I've gone by Lord Garth since 1996 and kept it when I joined TrekBBS. I've wanted to change my username for about five years but can never come up with a name I like, so I've stuck with what I have.

I've used the name TorontoTrekker since I joined here, probably ten or so years ago - it came from the old name of the convention I work on, Toronto Trek. (Plus, I'm a Trekker who lives in Toronto... do the math. ;) ) When we changed the convention's name to Polaris, Dennis was using the name Starship Polaris, so it didn't seem to make sense to me to change it. Plus, I've been TorontoTrekker (or TT) for so long that I'm used to it.

About the only other place I have an account is on Livejournal, where I haven't posted in over a year. There, I'm "boywhocantsayno" - the name came from something a bartender friend of mine said one night, when I was telling him about the three conventions I was simultaneously working on while trying to start a fourth.

This is only my 2nd user name here (my first one -- "NCC-42768" -- was rather ... forgetable) , and I quite like it. Don't see myself changing it anytime soon. I have different usernames on different web-worlds, but am slowly making this my standard.

Hmmmm ..., now that I think of it, the only other name that I use on any regular basis now is on my cruise BBS: "5:00_Somewhere", which I quite like for that forum, as well. But, for the most part, looks like I'm TrekkieMonster nearly everywhere.

Been GMac here and almost all the other boards I frequent for the past 8+ years (and longer in a couple of cases), so I don't see the point in changing now! Only other handle I use is MusicMan on one board, taken from the guitar & bass manufacturer - I'm something of a frustrated bassist and said company's Stingray bass is rather stylish  (I also have a rather large music collection, so the name fits in that regard also). But for the most part, I'm happy to stick with what I'm used to....

I do have alternative nicknames on other Boards. TerokNor would just not be fitting there. I think I have 3 other nicknames online, that are still in use, and one old one, that was for Star Trek, but is not in use anylonger and also never was in use on this Board, as I didn´t know this Board back then.

TerokNor

I used my real name to post under for years, but I decided Google was digging too deep into forum posts and switched out to my usual internet pseudonym.

"ares93" and "D'Jay" is the one i use the most. used to go by DaKKs (acronym of my name + an "s".) back in the days. believe it or not, its an accident that it sounds like Dax. haven't used the name in years though.
i was thinking to start using "DaKKs" again, but i changed my name since then and "DaJKKs" or "DaJoKKs" doesn't sound so good.

I really wanted the use "La Cutest of Borg" but someone already had a similar name,

T'Girl is kind of a contraction of Thundergirlz, which I've used since I was ten (late-nineties).

I've had three usernames over the course of my 11 years on this board...

The Pahwraith (1999 - 2003)
Block (2003 - 2008)
Servo (2008 - Present)

Always been the same, on every board. I wouldn't mind being known as Bumstroker though.

This is the only name I've ever had here, and the only thing I could ever see changing it to is the name I use nearly everywhere else, of which this one is merely a variant spelling. Probably won't happen, though; I've come to like it.

If I ever decide I need a second online moniker, I've thought of several alternatives, including... Deviated Prevert...

For awhile there I was Babaganoosh. I took it from one of my favorite TV shows, MXC.

I changed back to my original name because people would mention 'Baba' in their messages and I never knew whether they meant me or TEH BABA. :alienblush:
There was never any confusion. You were always Baba, teh baba was always teh baba (he didn't capitalize until after your change back to MLB) and never the twain did meet in anyone's perception. After all, it's not as if there's the slightest similarity between your posting styles or topic choices, was there?

I wasn't that familiar with his posting style. If he has a reputation of sorts, I'm not aware of it.

Besides, if I remember correctly, when I started using the B-word, he was calling himself Capt_Adama.
