Your Alternative User Names

Ruaidhri or Ruaidhri75 has been my net identity since I first got an AOL account in 1996. I never use anything different, and don't imagine I ever will.

But in the event I am ever required to choose something different I have two back-ups in my head, which I shall not name.

On a 24 message board I post at I'm called Chuckie Logan.

At the Lost board The Fuselage I'm registered as JackVersusLocke (though I hardly post there) and I'm a member of a couple of other Lost sites under that name as well.

At one dedicated to Fringe I post under the name Fringeaholic.

I registered at 9th Wonders (a Heroes board) as CaptainGalaxy but I never posted there and stopped going there sometime in season 2.

Here I used to be known as Worf999 before changing to JackBauer. I've considered changing it to Mitch Rapp since I'm a fan of Vince Flynn's book series.

Some of my alternative names are or have been (here and on other sites)

Sheliak
Dellingsdawn
The Masked Hobbit
Zozo
Zozette
Dropbear

Were you Sheliak here?

Mine is a contraction of my original. Used it most everywhere, except for a few nudie boards.

I like that last one. Do you hide in trees and drop onto people's heads when they're not looking?

I invented this one for this board. Now I use a shortened form of it in several other places, but I'm too lazy and unmotivated to figure out how to change it here. Besides, I'm kind of sentimentally attached to it.

Most of my other names begin with R, but not all of them.

^ There.

[edit] I assume you just PM T'Bonz and she does it.

Should you want to change to a different user name, email the board manager and she will effect the change.

Once the name has been changed, you must put your own name in either the location field of your profile or in your signature for a month.

Name changes may be done once a year. The manager has the right to refuse any names which would appear to be inappropriate.

on the Transformers Quake 2 forum i started out as Redline, but after quitting and returning, i had to re-register and i became SuperGodRedline. on most other forums i go by 'Sundance'. One forum though, i change names according to what the next big movie I'm looking forward to. currently i'm 'Edwin Salt' on there. i've thought about changing mine to either just 'Cap' or to 'Sundance'.

my MW2 name is MjrSundance. i started as SgtSundance and when i reached Sergeant-Major i went to SgtMjrSundance and have since changed each time i get to a new rank. going Lt, Capt and Mjr. Next I'll just go Col and can keep it for the 6 LtColonel and Colonel ranks.

I've used this name for about six years now and I'm kinda used to it. I'd go with Servalan if I got another username change here, but I don't see any real need to do so at this stage. I use it at the only other board I even lurk at any more, and a different username again at sites that insist you sign up before your computer help (or whatever) question will be answered.

One of my first choices for a username when I joined Ye Olde Internet in 1993 was Diogenes; unfortunately, it was already taken, and AOL wanted to add numbers to it, so I added my initials instead. My other choice was BabyDriver, but that was taken too.

At this point, I've been RJDiogenes for over seventeen years, here and elsewhere. Also, it's now Copyrighted and the name of my business, so I don't think I'll be changing it. :rommie:

If I were to actually change my name it would be to the one I use for Halloween; DrunkenHobo, either that or Trainwreck

I've started out as Niorah on my very first email account on the web, back in 1997, and this has always been my username of choice since.
I am lucky enough that it's never taken.

On the odd spinoff board I have used Hatham (Romulan for predator), and in the couple of car tuning forums I frequent I use my shortened first name.

I use this username in most places, including LiveJournal. It contains my initials and maiden name as it's a very uncommon name and I've never had a problem with the name already being taken. I'm too lazy and forgetful to create different usernames for every account and forum I use, though I use a different username if using the same username as your email address isn't recommended.

Not Spanky? Or Spanks the Cat?

I've thought about changing my user name a new times (maybe even adding a space between 'The' and 'Brew'), but it sort of has stuck with me. Especially since the meaning has evolved from why I originally chose it. When I signed up for the BBS, I didn't even drink beer.

Well the day i joined TrekBBs i was having Haggis and potatoes for dinner, but it could have been so much different because i was as eyeing up Steak Pie and chips that night for dinner.

I've been known as this around the Internet, ever since I started using it. All it is is a nickname, with some numbers added on. The only reason I didn't use just Eyes was because it's quite often taken, but people call me that anyway.

I've been thinking about shortening it here, since noone really uses the numbers, but I never get round to it.

I'm pretty much Marillion in most places that are entertainment related. I do have a couple of places where I use "Treeman" since I work with trees.. on a couple places that deal with my volunteer work, I'm dan2112.

I chose Marillion because I'm a shamless promoter of the second greatest band in the world. :)

I'm K'Ehleyr because when I joined I thought you had to have a ST related name and she's my favourite character.

I do not go under any other names because I'm not on any other forums, but if I did I would be 'Pilsey' ~ it's Man's nickname for me as apparently I have a tummy like the Pillsbury Dough Boy! (I really can't be bothered to insert a pic ~ if you don't get the reference then Google!) ~ It's not true, just cruel. But then I s'pose if I call him 'Cookie belly ~ what goes around...
Sometimes I'm not very fond of Man :klingon:
