I don't think that's an option....Or they could go the other way and say nothing in the Kelvin Films has anything to do with what CBS is putting out. Period. And just ignore anything that was shown to have happened in them, including the destruction of Romulus, and continue on as if it never happened.

They've already kept to the 2009 movie's version of events in the Star Trek Online game, and Disco showrunner was a co-writer and co-producer on that movie.
