I want the short treks released internationally already. This 'look at this exciting original content we've created that everyone loves - yeah, you're not legally allowed to watch any of it' stuff is bs and should not be happening in a franchise this big in the age of digital media.
Kelvin universe Star Trek 4 in production and Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek 5 in development to follow.
It's the 40th anniversary year of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", so a Blu-Ray/4K edition with seamless branching that entwines the theatrical, Special Longer Version and Director's Edition, plus "The Making of..." film, all in one gorgeous boxed set.
I didn't think I'd get my New Year's Wish eight days in, about finding out how or if the Picard Series would deal with Romulus' destruction.
I am happy with the j.j. kelvin universe movie trilogy, especially STID. Fine, now lets get back to the prime universe with the post NEMESIS Picard series and let's see the next movie be set there too.
My wish is for new Trek is to actually be entertaining to watch in 2019. I bailed on Discovery six episodes in and I don't think I'll be back for Season 2. I'm looking forward to the Picard series but ambivalent to the other rumored projects.
Well, my hope for positive news on a new movie was shattered about a week in. I'm still hoping for new movie news, but it's looking slim at this point. I guess if I had another wish for 2019, it would be the release of the DS9 documentary and hoping that this documentary gives me an insight at what it was like writing a series in Trek's golden era. We always get behind the scenes of the original and the first two seasons of TNG, yet it was 1993-1999 that I really loved being a trek fan. I want a documentary based on that era alone, considering everything that was gong on.
