...you start identifying excerpts from George Duning's "The Empath" music, without even trying, in 80% of third-season episodes - likewise, Fred Steiner's music for "Elaan of Troyius" and "Spock's Brain" - and not only that, you can put an episode of Mannix on and be able to tell whether a Trek composer scored it ("Hey, that's the chord Jerry Fielding used to end act 3 of 'Spectre of the Gun'!")
