You can have one more season of your favorite Trek series, BUT...

I’d trade all of TAS for a pack of gum.

Wha---?

Anyone who would trade TAS--for anything should be traded for...

Can I get TNG seasons 8-14 if I eliminate all of Enterprise and TAS and season 2 of Picard?

Just move it back a year.

You mean season 6 would be the last one of TNG?
No no, there are nice episodes in season 7 and if TNG ended after season 6 everyone would be questioning why, oh why not one more season?
I'll go as far as I claim season 7 is better than 6 when counting which had more good episodes.
But that's another debate, back to the topic.

Look closer. You suggested an 8th season of TNG, but didn't want to lose "All Good Things". I proposed simply moving AGT back in line to the end of S8. You get your cake and eat it too.

Lose the first 3 seasons of Voyager and have 7 seasons of Enterprise.. Thats Easy..

And if were going to movies, Trade First 2 seasons of Picard, and Seasons 3 and 4 of Disco for a Trilogy of Enterprise Movies in the romulan War.

Reminded of Mission Impossible tv series, once it moved into the 70's.. it kinda went to crap.

I'm guessing the above is in response to this. ;)

The longer TOS goes, the deeper into the '70s it gets. For a super-long run, it would be better if the show started earlier.
And yeah. Over time, it would've become a very different type of show. '70s-era TOS would've aged horribly. Not just the fashion (that's obvious), but also Gene Roddenberry in a more "liberated" environment. I've seen his rejected pilots from then, the sex jokes and the objectification of women would've gone off the charts. They could've made Spock an analogue for Affirmative Action. "Look at us! We have our Vulcan Officer!" And then watch how they'd react if there was a second Vulcan. And remember the episode with the all-female Security Team in TAS? They would've done something cringey with that in live-action aimed at adults. I'm thinking shades of The Enforcer.

Anyway. If people want seven seasons of TOS: 1963-1970. Most of the last season in this would've been shot in 1969. That would've been a good run.

Does swapping seasons also affect the episode count depending on which show the season stems from?
E.g. if somebody traded a TNG season to get an extra DSC season, would that DSC season balloon into 26 episodes?
