Season 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 of VOY didn't really rock my socks but oh well.
And VOY S6 didn't really rock my socks either. Only thing I really remember from it are a starship Grand Prix, a gut-kick of an anti-death penalty episode, and the episode that (character) assassinated Harry. We could dispense with that, I think.
Without DSC S02, we wouldn’t have SNW.
Do eliminations have repercussions?
I'm not sure which Harry episode you mean, but the other two are actually from season 7, so I guess that's even more of an indictment of season 6!
I guess we'd really have to defer to the team at Temporal Investigations on this one, but I'd argue this could improve SNW. SNW's weakest patches have been trying to smooth over messy nonsense that Disco's setup saddled them with.
VOY Season 6 had some of my favorite episodes.
Memorial
Blink of an Eye
One Small Step
The Haunting of Deck Twelve
Anyway I’d give up any season of PIC (they all sucked) for another season of ENT.
I’d trade all of TAS for a pack of gum.
...You have to sacrifice a season of another Trek show to get it. (The cosmic balance must maintained!) Which show do you get one more year of, and which season of which show do you eliminate and why?
The Ground Rules: For the purposes of this discussion, we'll only allow Trek shows that have completed or will shortly be completing their runs: TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, DSC, PIC, and PRO. Since we don't know how many seasons SNW or LDS are running yet, it's tough to say they deserve one more season.
You can eliminate any season of a show that you'd like. If (to pick two completely random examples) you want to get rid of the 2nd season of TOS or the 6th season of DS9, go for it. But all other seasons of the show remain completely the same. The extra season has to go at the end of the existing run. And you can't eliminate a season of a show just to make your own version of that season instead (That's what the Fan Fic Forum is for). You have to pick two different shows: One to expand, and one to shorten.
What shows do you choose and why?
To clarify, I meant an extra season tacked on at the end, not picking up the show with the actors as they are today. So Rene Auberjonois would still be available to play Odo.So ENT & DS9. The wrap from DS9 was also good. Rene has passed. I let it lie.
I say no, because according to the rules I laid out, the remaining seasons stay as is. Otherwise, we're just creating our own alternate histories of the franchise.Without DSC S02, we wouldn’t have SNW.
Do eliminations have repercussions?
Wow! Eliminating "Yesterday's Enterprise," "Sarek," and "The Best of Both Worlds" for more TAS? Now, THAT'S a radical answer!I would sacrifice season 3 of TNG, that season brought back all of the tropes which hobbled it for me, to get a 3rd season of TAS.
What flavor?I’d trade all of TAS for a pack of gum.
Yeah, I'd imagine it would be a total softball when you completely change the rules of the game to exchange 14 seasons instead of just one. This is a total softball.
I'll trade in all 5 seasons of Disco, 2 seasons of Picard, and 7 seasons of Voyager.
Give me 7 more seasons of TOS, 5 seasons of SNW, 2 more seasons of Enterprise.

That poster has a long running grudge against Ira Steven Behr.Wow! Eliminating "Yesterday's Enterprise," "Sarek," and "The Best of Both Worlds" for more TAS? Now, THAT'S a radical answer!

ONE season. That's it. That's all you get. No point in playing if you can't abide by the rules.
