This is the cover for the WYN Fleet Box, a collection of WYN fleet miniatures that ADB is putting on sale soon. Let me know what you guys think:

You do a great job of selling these designs, man. On first blush I didn't really like them, but in this pic they look pretty deadly. Keep it up.

Thanks man! It means a lot to mean to hear that since one of my primary goals working on FedCom is make the game look cooler and more appealing to people other than the old-school SFB'ers.

Steve Cole seemed happy with this version. I think the paint guides tend to be a suggestion more than anything.

Hey ... if it's good enough for Steve Cole, that's really the botom line in SFB; it'd be like trying to school George Lucas on X-Wing fighters ...

And ... of course he'd be happy with your work ... what's not to dig? Each one blows most of the old cover's out of the water.

Hey Adam, this looks great! Drama! I've seen other box set covers and they seem kind of static, like the ships are just hanging out or in a parade.

Your picture looks like this squardron is going somewhere, the biggest, baddest ship is leading the way with the other vessels taking their places in the formation.

I collect SFB minis, mostly Fed, Klingon, and Kzinti. I like the WYN ships and I'll get this set.

Well if SVC said "OK" then who am I to argue?

From experience, SVC has been a hammer regarding continuity in the SFU and when I did ADB's F&E Large Scale Map (LSM) I had to have "THE" proper logo's on the map with no variations.

Yeah, SVC actually affords me a pretty decent amount of leeway in matters such as this. I think he's noticed my fanatical dedication to making the SFU look cooler and it's paid off.

sadly, if i ran out and bought this set, i'd have to paint them myself. and then they'd look rather more like picasso had at them with a paint gun, than the totally badass fleet on the cover. =)
