I'm easy. If it has Star Trek in the title, I will watch it. And even if not (see: Enterprise).
Absolutely this. There was excitement of exploration and friendly banter between the characters, not to mention strong and positive female characters. It was basically exactly the sort of Star Trek I wanted to see. But then everything goes shit and we get a bleak war show about a black ops ship filled with miserable people.
Burnham was dry, the Captain Georgiou was wooden, Saru was a flake, etc... I can't see how they could carry an entire series, animated or not.

I have a 4 month old daughter. If its geared to kids, we would read/watch every single episode together as soon as she's allowed to watch TV or enjoy a comic book. If it's geared to adults, I'd read/watch it, hopefully with her mom.Depends on its target audience. If for teens and adults, probably. But if geared towards children and teens, then probably not.
