Would you have liked to see a mirror universe TNG episode?

I would've liked to have seen Dark Mirror adapted into a two parter instead of Descent or that other two parter about the Vulcan psychic weapon (Gambit?). Or better yet, Dark Mirror replacing Generations as the first TNG movie.
Dark Mirror featured a TNG-era Terran Empire and came out in hardcover and audiocassette a few months before DS9 aired Crossover. It had mirror-Spock attempt to reform the Empire, but he was set up on treason charges and executed 12 years after the transporter accident.
I really would have liked to have seen one. Plus I didn't really much care for what DS9 did to those episodes, would have been better if there still was a Terran Empire with the evil counterparts.
They could have retained part of the DS9 plot where the Terran Empire is in conflict with the Cardassian/Klingon alliance or something.

I'm not sure this would have been as fun as you think - the mirror universe' fun came from the idea that these were evil, twisted counterparts of the characters we knew well - if we only had a mirror ship full of tyrannical killers, I think the show would find it hard to generate appeal. The MU is inherently quite silly, and without the 'real' universe to balance it, I don't think it would work.
Much the same scenario as the people who call for an 'Itchy and Scratchy' TV show to spin off from the Simpsons. In the original show, the idea of the horrifically violent cartoon is funny and a bit of a unique element for the show - but take it out of its context and do it entirely by itself and it becomes nothing more than what it is - a ridiculously violent cartoon short.
I loved Dark Mirror, and think it would have made a great two-parter. Maybe instead of Bloodlines.

Don't know how they would have managed to get that Dolphin character to work though.
They could've gotten Darwin from seaQuest to be Hwii. There would just be a lot of effects to deal with.
I always enjoyed the Mirror Universe Saga comic, which was published by DC as a movie-era sequel to "Mirror, Mirror" taking place after TSFS. Personally, I'd actually prefer a film version of it over TVH.
The Empire still exists in the late 23rd century, because Mirror Spock decided he didn't have the resources he needed to seize power. The Empire has been trying to find a way to duplicate the transporter error on a larger scale so they can invade our universe, and now they've succeeded. The ISS Enterprise comes into our universe, and it's up to Kirk and the TOS crew to stop it.I read on Wikipedia that "Parallels" was originally supposed to have an Enterprise from the MU, but DS9 was already working on Crossover, so they changed the ship to one where the Borg overran the Federation. Of course there were something like 285,000 Enterprises in that episode, so it's hard to imagine not one of them was from a still-intact Terran Empire.
While not a MU episode per se, "Living Witness" gave us a glimpse of what an ISS Voyager might be like.

I thought the "enterprise" mirror universe episodes were so brilliant because the episodes took place exclusively in the mirror uiniverse without any of the reset button crap. I would have loved to have seen a TNG where it took place entirely in the mirror universe: New opening credits and theme music, evil doctor Crusher, and Troi being the ultimate slut who winds up on top. 
Yeah, that was one thing I did like about IAMD. I was honestly cynical about the idea initially, because of ENT' penchant for borrowing stuff, but they actually did better than I expected. Some fans feel the only kind of stories you can write have to include a crossover, but I disagree. You can only do that so many times before it becomes stale, and part of the fun of an MU is seeing what's different.
I have it as a book-on-tape as read by DeLancie and it's great!

Yes I would. I'd bet that it would beat all of the other top episodes due to the fact that it would show what humans would be like if we allowed ourselves to be controlled by our feelings and ambitions instead of the decision to do what is best for all mankind, which is what Star Trek is based on. I think that the best mirror counter-part would be Picard, because of the fact that they would both be brilliant and would probably have a difficult time defeating one another.
