Would you have liked a season 8?

I think it would have been voyagers best season, with them settling in back in the alpha quadrant, it could have been really interesting. The reason "endgame" dissapointed me most was because it kind of just dumped voyager in front of earth, and then it just ended, there was no satisfaction in seeing the crew reunite with families and things like that, I just think it was a wasted oppertunity.:alienblush:

Since I enjoyed both Virtual Voyager Season 8 & Virtual Voyager 7.5 I'd have to say yes. :)

I'd have liked to have seen fewer seasons of Voyager. The longer they're stuck in the Delta Quadrant, the more eps they have to fill, the harder it is to live up to the show's concept of basic scarcity of (if not materiel) expendable crew.

I would have at least liked to see an "epilogue" mini-series to find out what happened to them on Earth, tho we know KJ was made an Admiral. The books were (and still are alot) somewhat disappointing, so it would have been nice to have a little more "wrap-up" instead of just a brief little shot of Voyager approaching Earth. (I have fantasies of a "Voyager II" mini-series, but that is just in my head). GS.

Its not like we saw much of that in the existent seasons so I don't see how reducing Voyager's episodes would have meant anything.

To answer the original question, yes I would have loved to have a season 8. By season 7, I was over being annoyed at Voyager's faults and just enjoying some good trek. And I thought season 7 had quite a lot of good episodes- "Critical Care", "Lineage", "The Void, "Author, Author", "Natural Law" being among the very best for me. It was far more consistent than TNG season 7.

BUT I wouldn't have wanted it to be set when they got back to the Alpha quadrant. I would have been happier with more of the same.

I wouldn't have liked a S8 because I'd rather have S1 of ENT, but I would have preferred S7 to be about VOY back in the Alpha Quadrant.

I think seven seasons of Voyager was more than enough, but I'd have loved a TV-movie Voyager reunion, where we got to see what everyone'd been up to for the past few years. Maybe they could get together on the Quantum Slipstream-powered Voyager II and go save Neelix from some Hirogen, or something.

You took the words out of my keyboard. Or at least one mor epi about the first days back at home. I'm cheesy, I know, but a "well done son" from admiral Paris would have been sooo nice;)

I am on the fence. A season 8 of Voyager COULD have been cool. Seeing what happened with the debriefing and having some kind of closure other than knowing that they got home. But, I did like that end in Endgame, it ended just as abruptly as it began. I just wished that maybe in that part in Nemesis with Janeway we could have found out more.

Best part of that movie, btw. Not a single person booed when I saw it. They cheered.

Another season? Nah, not really. Maybe another couple episodes, though, just to let them wrap up the story a little better. "Endgame" was way too rushed.

I would have liked to see what happened to all after "Endgame" and before NEMESIS.

i like voyager for sure. but, it did run its course, no need for another season at the time. Agreed on earlier post, it might have run a year too long actually.

Season 8? I'd be happy if we were on, what, season 16? Although after they made it back, it would have been a very different kind of story.

One more vote for a better wrap up, not a full season of them back home, unless it was to concentrate on the crew having difficulty mixing back into general society. That might require more a mini-series/movie though, since you wouldn't want to over do the angle.

The viewers not getting any of the emotional payoff in seeing the crew actually home, rather them just across the finish line doesn't really appeal to me.

That is exactly what I felt. "Endgame" to NEMESIS where we see promoted Admiral Janeway, what happened to the Voyager crew?

I think a nice tie up episode or film would have been a good idea. It could have been done in flash backs.

Just what happened to Seven on their arrival to Earth, I dont think it would have been very pleasant for her.

Then theres the Chakotay/Janeway/Seven thing going on, who did he end up with, I personally dont think it was either women.

Thats without how the Dr evolved once back.

Did the Borg open up more conduits and follow them into the Delta Quadrant?

Did Tuvok get the medicine he needed or did he still get the Vulcan disease?

What happened to the rest of the crew and the ship?

It was dreadful how they ended it, as if the script writers got tired, it happens a lot with authors, they have a deadline so skip a lot to the end and totally deflate the reader.

A mini-series wrap up would have been nice. I wish that a post Voyager series could have been developed. It still can be, I miss watching new Star Trek episodes. Stargate SG1, Atlantis, and now SGU are good, but would still love to see another Star Trek series. SGU is more like Star Trek Voyager in so many ways. I see Stargate SG1 as The Original Series and The Next Generation. When Ben Browder comes in, "The Next Generation" part starts. Atlantis was Deep Space 9 and now SGU is the Voyager mirror.

After Voyager blew the Borg up, the conduits would be impossible. The Borg were either exterminated for good or the were crippled to a point where it would take many years to become a threat again.

I'm going to say "No".
While I do love Voyager, it seemed tthey by s7 the writers were really tapped out of the stories they had to tell. Plus between TOS, TNG, DS9 & ENT., I think I've had enough of the AQ to last me a life time. I think it's time for a Trek series in the Beta Q. or an adventure involving those interdimentional gateways.

I think the writers missed out by not using the Vadwaar during s7.
If they had, they might have had more stories to tell that could have warranted a s8.
