I've heard of people drinking their own urine to survive in some scenarios, so if it's as filtered as they suggest it is, it wouldn't be that far gone an idea.

Well, isn't urine sterile anyway? Like you can pee on your feet to kill fungus right, and its good for jelly fish stings. If you filter it out and extract the water then its perfectly fine.

They've got solar powered filters you can take on camping trips to filter out your pee to drink if there isn't water nearby, or you get stranded. Its a good survival tool.

Um, the earth has been filtering water for millions of years. What's the difference? The water I drink comes from a well. Think about it.

I've actually drank my own urine during survival courses when I was in the military. So drinking water from that device would actually be quite cool.

Wow. You need to stop getting your information from Friends. Urine isn't nearly acidic enough to do squat for either fungus or stings. Thus actually taking a whiz on your feet and stings would do, at best, absolutely nothing.

Its the ammonia that urine carries out of the body, isn't it as urea? That's the toxic bit you don't want to take back in again.
