I do see Miral being a daddy's girl, but I can't imagine B'Elanna not taking her along when she leaves Tom.

If Chakotay had settled down with Torres instead, he would easily be the choice for a stay-at-home dad character while the wife pursues a career. Chakotay resigns his commission, the EMH devises a procedure for Chak to carry the baby to term, and Tuvok doubles as first officer.

I thought Chak and Belanna were going to be paired up. It seemed hinted or I was looking for it via back story I forget which. I felt a little whiplash when the previews for Resolution aired. Guess I didn't read into the Captain much. Just because women flirt doesn't mean they want to do it like they do on the discovery channel. She thought he was hot and she wanted a coffee buddy.

In one of the episodes where their dreams were real, Walking Moments, Chakotay and B'Elanna made out in a dream, which was season 4 maybe, almost 2 years after resolutions.
It is hard to admit but.. Paris is more lively and interesting than Chak. I picture B'Elanna pounding on Chak's chest, trying to get some kind of response from him.
I think that was in Persistence of a Vision season 2. It was rather awkward to me. It was her fantasy but for a tender domestic it was rushed.
Robert is great with charm but gahh I don't know-Aside from superficial attraction he wouldn't do it for me. Especially after hearing his vamp in Boston when he jokes about how he role played with the Captain. It went like this: (paraphrase) "We used to get it on (unbeknownst to viewers)We used to Role Play. I'd be the Captain. Let's get those shields down to 30% baby. At warp speed!". I cringe-so does half the audience. I'm thinking "Janeway's warp core is offline." Then he adds, "Captain there's an enemy ship approaching!"To which he adds aghast, "That's not an enemy ship!". I hope he's sexier than his improv. Or I feel sorry for Mrs. Beltran :-)

That's how I feel, Teacake. Or they'd make him (edited) uncharacteristically dominant (better teacake? ) Personally, I reallly wanted to engage in who Chakotay was and what he contributes but he went into that good night. I don't know who to be pissed at for that but his episodes bored me.
