Would Jemheddar be capable of understanding what a comfortable house arrest were?

I get the sense that most Jem'Hadar are actually quite intelligent and educated, at least about physical science, biology, medicine, and engineering. Those skills would make them more lethal fighters. If I got torn up in battle and a Founder ordered a Jem'Hadar to treat me medically, I would feel confident that they'd do a good job. Unless I was a Vorta. Although in Rocks and Shoals, maybe their problem was lack of access to medical facilities more than lack of a Jem'Hadar medic.

I gather any sort of arrest would be extra hard on the Jem'Hadar: they don't have an hour to waste of their preciously short lives. A moment sitting down on a sofa is a moment not spent fighting anybody, and there might never be another moment.

We don't know exactly why the Jem'Hadar don't grow old, though. Might be they would celebrate their 275th birthday easily enough if not for the fact that they fight till they no longer win. Might instead be their bodies are carefully built not to last, accumulating toxins regardless of how they conduct their lives.

The Jem'Hadar are genetically engineered. Does this mean they are a species created out of whole cloth? Or are they just an appropriately boosted preexisting species? The one thing they obviously are not is cloned... And there is plenty of individual variety there. Who knows, perhaps an individual might enjoy a good TV dinner on a recliner if overcoming (or missing) his indoctrination?
