Worst. Line. Ever.

"Don't mince words, Bones. What do you really think?"

Has to be Star Trek's all-time #1 stinker, festering miles ahead of all the others.

And to make it worse, Shatner delivers it like he's vomiting out this putrid phrase that shouldn't have made it past the first rewrite of the script.

awww i LOVE that line!

"When one is in the penalty box, tears are permitted."

Just hate this line. I hate that entire scene in fact.

I liked the life forms song and love the don't mince words line. I even use that line sometimes in normal conversation and try to deliver it the same way Shatner did :)

I hated almost everything to do with Yar, with a couple of very notable exceptions in Skin of Evil and Yesterday’s Enterprise. The character was poorly written and even worsely acted.

Oh yeah, I hated Sela too.

"Come to dinner, just the two of us. Or, should I say, just the one of us."

"COMPUTER! ACCESS MANUAL STEERING COLUMN!!!"

"Tuvok, you're a real freakasaurus."

Archer's Freudian slips to T'Pol in "A Night in Sickbay", AKA "How to humiliate your entire regular cast in just under 45 minutes".
Don't forget Archer threatening to pee on an alien race's culturally treasured trees in the same episode.

Most of these I consider charming in a corny way... the one that gets to me is from Kirk in the episode "The Apple":

"You just keep on doin' what you're doin', you'll figure it out!"

It's a sex ed lesson! Even that one I found funny, though.

When the Dax symbiote was stolen from Jadzia, and the new host still wanted to consider Sisko his friend... Sisko yells:

THIS. FRIENDSHIP. IS. OVER!

I was like, 'oooh... burn.'

ST Gen: "That's a pretty big margin of error"-Riker

STXI: "My name's James Tiberius Kirk!"-young Kirk.
^HATE THIS LINE!^

ah gawd. Didnt have one until last night during my re-watching of DS9. When Sisko says to Dax, "Ohhh if you were still a man!".

i threw up in my mouth on that one.

^ i thought it was pointless too. And the kid's delivery didnt help when it came out as, "My name is James Siberius Kirk!"

I think people get unnecessarily worked up about this.

What Riker was referring to is correctly called an error margin, which sounds similar to but is a completely different concept than margin of error. It’s an easy mistake to make for somebody who doesn’t use math or science very often and inaccurately recalls the term error margin from classes he took decades ago at Starfleet Academy.

I don’t believe this was intentional on the part of Frakes or anybody involved with the movie. It was a mistake. Fortunately, it’s a mistake that Riker might actually make, so it works in the reality of the movie.

Leah Brahms: I'm not used to having people questioning my judgment.
Geordi la Forge: And I'm not used to dying.

The long pause after it is even worse :brickwall:

'No more blah, blah, blah' Cringe lines were 'What does it mean, exact change?' and 'Double dumb ass on you'.
