The first round is done. Due to a fifth-place tie, we have six episodes to choose from this time. Pick your LEAST favorite, and the winner will represent TNG's Fourth Season in the final TNG poll. Thanks for voting.

Suddenly Human for the screeching brats, the disposable alien race of the week that the Federation fought a war we never saw with (yes, I know their species name was mentioned in season 1's Heart of Glory), generic predictable plot and outcome. Plus the kid who you just wanted to choke like Homer chokes Bart.

Easily Devil's Due, though I strongly dislike Suddenly Human and Legacy as well.

Same pick for me, for the same reasons. Well said.

A lot of drivel there. I quite like In Theory actually, but the other five are fairly wretched. I always though that Season 4 was quite a strong season, but there are more than a few clunkers.

I'll go with The Loss, as I simply have no interest in watching it. Suddenly Human ran it quite close, as did Devils Due. And The Host. And Legacy... :D

It seems that there is always a few (or more) episodes voted as crap that I like;
I like In Theory a lot, also The Host & Devil's Due I find enjoyable. Suddenly Human isnt so bad either.

So between the remaining Ive gone for The Loss.

Me too.

Well I think it was average.,
The Host & Devil's Due I find enjoyable.
I agree. The Host really was a nice episode. I know many get caught up in the discrepancies between DS9's Trills and this episode but I could care less. For me the story works because of the interesting look at the nature of love. Do we really love the person? Could we still love that same person in a different body? It would seem for Beverly the answer is No and I loved that story decision because for all the criticisms against TNG's characters as perfect or PC this was an instance where it showed that no matter how far we come in the 24th century we still do have some limitations. And I know many felt the ending was not daring and was homphobic but I don't see it that way.
Would we have said it was anti-heterosexual if the character was a gay man and the new form that the symbiot took was a woman?

I also enjoyed Beverly trying to get rid of Data so she could be alone with Odan and her conversation with Troi where Deanna encouraged Beverly go for it with Riker/Odan.

Devil's Due isn't great but it is a fun romp in the mold of TOS. Marta DuBois was fantastic as Marta and seeing Picard take her down.

And I like Legacy. It has some nice character moments and one of TNG's more depressing endings.

In Theory. It's a horrible Data-centric episode and BS really creeped me out several times during the relationship scenes.

Without thinking much about it, I would say "Suddenly Human" is the worst ep of S4.
