Wormholes...

Has it ever been established if there is any limit to how much space can be folded in the making of a wormhole. DS-9 and Voyager both had W/H
that folded about 75,000LY's. Is that the limit of distance you can travel in a W/H or can you jump to another Galaxy if you find the right W/H ???

There is a good possibility that there are no limits to how far you can go via Wormholes (provided you find the correct one).
On the other hand ... SF had issues finding STABLE wormholes to begin with.
The only stable one (that remained like that) was in Bajor system where DS9 is located, and it was artificially made by aliens/entities that exist outside linear time.

It was implied in Trek that naturally occurring Wormholes are a problem to find.
The 'Eye of the needle' episode in Season 1 of Voyager featured essentially a micro-wormhole (however, possibly stable enough when it was larger).
That one was very old/on the brink of collapsing. It also had an exit terminus in the AQ (or very near it in the BQ ... where the Romulan ship was), but it lead to 30 years into the past.
That's another example of a wormhole that covered about 75000 LY's, albeit with 30 years into the past.

I always got the impression that they were instant travel no matter the distance. Until Jadzia and some other trill came to a full stop inside and had to navigate around some 'vacuoles'?? I guess that took instant out of it.

Regarding the Bajoran wormhole and it's exitpoints, I just wondered there seeing as this wormhole has adavanced Alien beings living inside it, is there any way that they can alter exit points so that you could come out anywhere in the Galaxy or even the Universe?

ETA - If they can alter the exit points then couldn't the Federation, or any space faring race, make an arrangement or something with the Wormhole aliens so that anyone can travel to anywhere they choose?

The Prophets can do whatever the hell they want. They built the thing. If they decided that the wormhole goes somewhere else, then that's where it would go. They also made the orbs, which shows a distinct mastery of time and space) think of them in the same way that you think of the Q. The Q could literally build a suspension bridge from one galaxy to another. If they wanted a wormhole to reach some farflung corner of the universe, that's where it would go.

It'd be if you could have wormholes connecting with the Magellanic Clouds, the Andromeda Galaxy & beyond.

I wonder if theirs a wormhole connecting ST's Milky Way with SW's Galaxy/time?

Or to other places?
