Worf in "Picard"

Not a spoiler because I have no news beyond what has already been posted.
I'm wondering, what if Worf shows up on the Picard show? Would he have his original makeup or the Discovery redesign?

Worf was sent to the Clingon Empire as Ambassador at the end of DS9. I'd like to assume that 20 years later, he'd be leading the empire during the timeline of Star Trek Picard. I'd assume the Romulans are in tatters at this point, and that there is a civil war going on, One side backed by Klingons, the other side backed by Cardasians under Gul Ducat.

Worf gave up his ambassadorship and was back in Starfleet in Nemesis.

I don't know if you've seen Disco Season 2 but if what you're asking is, "Will he have hair?" Then, yes. He will. The Klingons have hair again in the second season. They retroactively explained it away as the Klingons just shaved their heads during the first season. There's one line about it, then they move on, never to speak of it again.

If you mean the more elaborate make-up in general: I have no idea.

It would be pointless to bring Worf back, then give him the Disco make-up/mask, because then you wouldn't be able to recognize that it's Dorn, except maybe by his voice.

It should be noted though, that Dorn was asked to appear on Discovery season 1.

There were a couple of Klingons in Discovery S2 that practically looked like TNG era Klingons anyway, and if you compare Worf’s makeup between TNG S1 and Nemesis it wasn’t exactly like for like to begin with...

I haven't seen season 2, but I've read and seen bts pics from season 1, and the way they do the klingon make-up is by building(3d printing?)a complete mask that covers the entire head and face of the actor, then they blend the eyes and mouth.

For Worf and other klingons, they created a prosthetic mold for his brow ridge and forehead, +a wig, +a prosthetic nose, then blend it around the temples, and bridge. add a mustache, sometimes fake teeth, etc, so you are still seeing most of Dorn's actual face.

I'd hope he was still an Ambassador like at the end of DS9.

Maybe him deciding to go from being in such a position of power and respect in the Klingon Empire to firing phasers on the Enterprise-E was a mid-life crisis or a break and he returned to Ambassadorship at the end of Nemesis. Cause with all the development he got in DS9, it was a stupid move for him to just go back to being a phaser firer, I also think Sisko pretty much told him he was never gonna get a good command cause of that one episode.

The finale ends with the arrival of the USS Can't Think of a Name at the Moment, commanded by Captain Worf with First Officer Harry Kim and the promise of Real Star Trek to satisfy the True Fans in season 2.

At this point they might as well have everyone from TNG, DS9 and VOY on this show in completely unnecessary cameo roles.

And they ain’t going back to the DSC season 1 Klingon look. Or their ships. They realized their mistake and rectified it.

Half of me wants him as captain of the Enterprise, the other half wants him the way he was in AGT. Both would be awesome either way.

But the TNG characters in that trailer aren't unnecessary cameos. Hugh and 7 of 9 are clearly tied into a major plot -- Borg. Data's role is unclear, but it's obviously due to something that haunts Picard as well. And I'm sure Riker / Troi will make sense.

in the scene where picard walks towards HQ, there is someone on the left who could be a disco klingon

How long could Worf really last among actual Klingons anyway, before offending them? I would give it less than a year before some issue erupts, and Worf clings(klings?) to his human version of honor, and is again disgraced, and must crawl back to his "illustrious Starfleet career."
