Wonder Woman(NBC) *Spoilers!*

Eh, rerun the original and get a few million viewers. No need to spend too much on production to cancel a new show after few seasons, same amount of success.

Where did someone post here the statistics indicating TNG is getting higher ratings now than it originally did in syndication? Give the old stuff a chance for the nostalgia and ease factor. Better than pissing a whole new generation off by destroying Wonder Woman.

Ummm. ST:TNG is in the top 25 WORST rated syndicated shows.

I know I personally haven't watched it years. A friend and I were just talking about how poorly they've aged.

I haven't really watched any of his better known series but what I've seen of Harry's Law hasn't inspired a whole lot of confidence in this thing. I'll certainly give it a shake, though, I just don't expect much.

No lesbian-ness? Sigh... do I have to bust out the picture again? :p

Go right ahead! You had me at "lesbian" and "bust".
<Darth Vader Voice> As you wish...

(Sorry, Guy. :p)

I genuinely don't understand how Wonder Woman could ever work on TV in this day and age. It would be corny beyond belief.

I disagree.

You don't write it corny.

You take an inventive writer who creates a compelling script.

No reason it HAS to be corny. Or appear to be.

^ Exactly. Anything can be to be work as long as there is a writer/creative team willing to treat whatever they're working on with genuine seriousness (I'm not talking about tone here either) and dedication.

Superhero's in costume are corny by nature, the only one I can think of that comes close to avoiding that inherent cheese is the recent Batman incarnations. I can't image how Wonder Woman in that costume, with those stupid powers and on a TV budget could ever be anything but corny as hell.

Sorry. Sounded like you didn't know where the image was from. It's pretty easy to make screen captures these days.

This is all my fault I PMed Admiral Young the info he wanted...I should have just posted it here.

And that's perhaps why you aren't a TV writer.

Just because you can't imagine it, doesn't mean someone else CAN'T imagine away of doing it so it's not corny.

You're right that you can't lift off the page of a comic and put it directly on TV. It requires adaptation. Just like they did for the recent Batman movies.

It just requires some imagination.
