Gal Gadot is a real life Wonder Woman

The most important thing about this movie is how inspirational it is to so many girls and women

Dream, one part of your reposted list is not too much of a new thing: the lunchbox, as I recall some 1970s boys not only reading WW comics, and watching the Carter TV series, but some actually played with Mego's WW (and Batgril) 8-inch action figures alongside their Superman, Batman and other Mego figures. I think that less polarized perception dropped off in the 80s and 90s (where boys playing with anything featuring female superheroes was rare), but part of the culture has sort of returned to the "no big deal" vibe of the 70s.

WB already dumped Ratner's ass a few weeks ago when this first broke out so this is non-news.

^Warner Brothers has chosen not to renew their agreement with Ratner, but the current agreement hasn't expired yet.

That agreement is with RatPac-Dune, a company partly owned by Ratner, but Ratner himself is definitely completely out, he's been removed from premises and the only other upcoming project he was set to produce for them, so I don't think WW2 is in any danger of the Return of the Rat.

Just curious with all those cute stories and pictures with kids does anyone have first-hand experience with them and this movie? The movie didn't really seem like it would appeal to children but maybe I'm wrong.

My 6 year old LOVED this movie. She literally jumped up clapping in the theater when Wonder Woman turned over the tank.

There were a bunch of little girls dancing through the closing credits when I saw it.

It was a dickmove from Disney to move Star Wars IX into WW2's original date, but I'm glad we're getting it earlier as a result of that :D
Meh. It's a pretty standard Studio trick. If I recall correctly, Warner Brothers tried to do something similar by attempting to put Batman versus Superman in the same weekend as Civil War. Sometimes it's just a matter of two Studios facing each other down over a date and see who blinks first.
