Hey, gang! Easy... I think we're missing the major "bullet point" here.
This film is gonna' have Barbara Minerva, the Cheetah! The princess of the Amazons pitted against a lithe and lethal ailuromorph! (Can't really say "cat woman" because that causes confusion with a certain notable cat burglar and "cat girl" is both diminutive and brings to mind anime high school students wearing ears and tails.)
A bit more seriously, I wonder how she'll be depicted? Given it's the minerva version, I'm guessing she'll gain supernatural abilities from a "god" plant requiring blood sacrifice. Personally, I prefer the version from the "animated universe" as she is not a cold blooded feral killer. (Some of the 80s Perez issues implied Minerva actually slaughtered and ate children.) Instead, she is more of a tragic character, forced to criminal activity to hopefully undo a transformation she suffered when testing medical serums upon herself rather than risk others. But I figure the writers want the version that is apologetically savage, someone the audience will not pity should Diana grind her muzzle into the dirt.
Related to that, I wonder how she will look? Will she have a recognizably human face with just "peach fuzz" and a hint of a nose pad? Or will they go more feral with a slightly extended muzzle and a harelip? It's interesting that in the comics and several animated interpretations have often presented her "in the fur" and nothing else. But I wonder if they can make that idea fly in live action? Oh, I know there are numerous methods how they can achieve that from a technical aspect, a costume with actual fur (well, synthetic fibers), motion capture with the "fur" digitally painted over her body, etc. But with the growing concerns of "objectifying" women in cinema, I wonder if the production will avoid the issue and have her wearing, something, anything. That would be the ultimate irony, however, a PG-13 production "playing it safe" whereas a Saturday morning type cartoon can show her fuzzy butt.
