I'd say at the most 5 more mil.

I dunno, it is the Memorial Day weekend, after all. The figures might hold fairly steady.

Plus, school's out in some parts of the country, isn't it?

maybe, but I am more prone to underestimating the take right now. if it makes more, great. but I think it's on a slow fade. mind you, I'd rather it wasn't. but I think it is.

DVD-Blu-ray business will be MORE than brisk, though, I suspect.

I see no reason in analyzing Trek's box office performance. The film is going to break $200 million (domestic) within a few days, and will keep on going. That's huge. My personal predictions put the final B.O. take at around $150 million. This film is performing better than I could have hoped. Whatever the final number is, I'll be thrilled. I don't care if it doesn't make as much as "Iron Man" or "Batman Begins." Paramount will be quite pleased.

Well, I did my part and went to see it again for the final IMAX showing at my local cineplex last night at midnight. Very pleased to discover that I enjoyed it just as much as the first time around, and it's nice to see that the film is still performing well.

Oh, and I also saw Terminator Salvation on Friday -- it's a very average film, at best. It definitely has nothing on Star Trek.

Considering that Terminator didn't even make twice what Trek did, and it's in its first weekend compared to Trek's third, that's not bad at all. imo.
