Wierdest TOS Ep?

Definitely Plato's Stepchildren, which is something straight out of the mind of a fanfiction writer on Red Bull and a mainline of sugar-crack blend. Let's see:

*Spock tap-dancing, laughing, and sobbing... and that's BEFORE he sings to Christine and Uhura about the importance of protecting their chastity from lusty young men.
* Kirk pretending to be a horse and being ridden by a little person (PC term), having his rear slapped at one point
* Spock, Kirk, Christine, and Uhura dressed in pseudo-Grecian garb and forced to kiss one another for the amusement of skeevy aliens

Weird? That's an understatement. Awesomely hilarious? Only to me, apparently.

Count me in as another Plato's Stepchildren fan... :techman:

Don't forget the S&M moments with the whip and the poke...

That scene must have soooo felt weird and uncomfortable on many levels... so much subtext there: in-universe, Christine's unrequited love for Spock as well as the interest/attraction Uhura showed for him in season 1, and in real life, the fact that Majel was Roddenberry's current girlfriend/mistress, and Nichelle his ex-mistress.

I say it would be The Carbonite Manuever. I say everything about that episode is strange from the floating light cube to the alien that looks like a kid. Another episode I say I think is strange and I think is kind of stupid is The Way To Eden. I also thought Assignment Earth didn't make any sinse either.

"Carbonite"? Was he encased in it? :guffaw:-- RR

My brother and I often sing, "Ohh-oh, bitter dregs!" -- RR
