She has the face for it. Shatner just doesn't, he would not have looked good bald even in his prime, or not as good. When he got older he would have ended up looking like a Sopranos extra.

I think people are laughing at the thread, but it did seem like Brooks was replaced in Season 4. I mean he lost the hair, other than the beard, but grew a whole new level of confidence and actually became rather badass. It was a nice and welcome transition for the character and made him into a really great captain.

Apparently it was how Brooks had wanted to look from the beginning, but TPTB didn't want to risk two chromedomes* in a row.

* = "Chromedome" was the behind-the-back nickname we had for our high school principal back in 1969.

Only with TGT who hired a bald hooker he was that impressed.

Anyway Ripley bald was the best. GI Jane wasn't such a great movie but the bit where she actually shaved all her long dark hair off was a cinematic great.

I think the confidence stated coming with the addition of the goatee...er, van dyke! It seemed to coincide with better writing for Sisko too (and better writing all the way around).
