Personally I wouldn't mind having a tank, but only because of the "you don't need it" attitude of the anti-gun freaks.

And do we really need to get into a discussion about overthrowing the government to explain why the second amendment is designed partly as a check against it? It does explain why even the arbitrary defined "assault weapon" should be just fine to own, but to be frank the discussion about overthrowing the government should be left to the neo-nazi freaks that run around in the woods and members of the KKK that dream of the south rising again.

I saw something like that on an episode of Disorderly Conduct. This guy was so steamed at the city zoning laws (I think that was his reason) that he literally stole a fucking tank and started knocking down all the buildings in the city that he could get at. I think he caused like 13 million dollars in damages.

See, it's guys like that who give responsible tank owners a bad name.

Are you maybe thinking of the "Kill-dozer" guy? He armored up his bulldozer and destroyed a lot of property around where he was because the city was (illegally actually) kicking him out of where his shop was set up at. The police managed to disable his engine and he ended up killing himself. He is totally an hero.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded.

The police have to "persuade" these fruitcakes and then carry them out in body bags with some regularity in this country. Good thing they can't "force" them to behave.

The mean mother-hubber more than likely has the same plan, potentially the same armory and is, by definition, meaner. If the FBI gets involved, they're more successful at high-caliber "persuasion" than either of you. Let me know how it works out.

BTW, I've been on the wrong end of that transaction. More gun would have meant "more dead," but that was only evident in hindsight.

Okay, I was joking, since that's actually from TF2's "Meet the Engineer", but you're wrong about more guns meaning "more dead". Say hello to Kennesaw, GA, aka "Gun Town, USA". When they passed a law requiring gun ownership of every household, people like you figured there'd be shootouts at high noon, but wouldn't you know, that didn't happen. Imagine that. This doesn't necessarily prove the pro-gun side, but it certainly disproves assertions from the anti-gun side like the one you just made.
