Why did Chakotay Choose to be with seven instead of janeway?

Fourteen FULL and sparsely illustrated pages later, we're still no closer to solving this mystery wrapped in an enigma that was first presented to us, by the Original Poster. On the other hand, LJones41 did say that:

Chakotay NEVER HAD the opportunity to choose between Janeway and Seven, considering that Janeway never gave him the opportunity to choose. Come to think of it, neither did Seven. She and Chakotay merely drifted into a relationship.

This "drifting" theory, though ... upon closer scrutiny, it doesn't seem to hold up. But it's the best lead we've had, so far.

Was seven married to Axum?

Cheating aside, who really cares, but maybe if they all did forget that Seven was almost certainly already married, the later in the Admiral Janeway timeline Seven of Nine was a bigamist.

Seven and Axum never were physically together, it was kind of a dream. Plus she didn't remember most of it. I think he ended with an 8472 morphed to a humanoid, maybe even Chac's girlfriend.
where was this mentioned? In the episode he finds out he's on a cube in the beta quadrant i think.

First, I said "I think". That usually means that that is not something that has been mentioned anywhere.

Second, I was being facetious, which I think I am entitled to be given the highly speculative nature of the topic we're discussing.

I was just asking because I thought it was interesting, it was just out of curiosity, not being snarky or anything

i think that's exactly what they were afraid off and if their target audience is anything like my pre-teen son then they are right, he hates all the "lovey-kissey" stuff. I am sure they could have more than made up for any loss in the young male crowd by attracting more women with a bit more realistic "lovey-kissey" stuff, though. Of course it's sci fi and not romance but sci fi plus a bit of romance is possible. At least in my universe.
And mine too! Your teen age son will be enjoying 'lovey kissey stuff' in a few years

Chakotay: "Oh, sorry, Kathryn, you thought that we would be together, and live happily ever after? I'm so sorry, but someone should have told you that Caretaker castrated me just hours before we first met."
He has fingers and a tongue doesn't he? And he can replicate something lol

HA! ... awww! Well, I hope that this discussion has made you more tolerant of the Chakotay/Seven romance. I know that it has, for me. And I want to give Kathryn the benefit of the doubt about still waters running deep, with her. But ... that other stuff you mentioned, that was just flashes in a pan, it's always seemed to me. People, surprise, though. They very often do. But, also ... she was in the Autumn of her Life. The fire dims .... and before she knows it, she's content just to be eating a tray of Cadbury chocolates and watching the telly, every night.
'Autumn of her life' she probably had another 100 years to live if she did not crash the ship! You are not female are you? lol

I'm only too aware of my sensitivity towards the feelings of others, sir, but I assure you: I am ALL Man.

And we all hope - I'm sure - that Janeway lives to bury us all. But who wants to live another century in decrepitude? That's all that 24th Century's offering, you know.

Picard doesn't look 37, when he meets Shinzon .... I mean, great! We're all guaranteed to live to be 120, in the future, but every outward sign of age is as evident as it ever was. It's especially worse for a female whose youth was spent looking beautiful. But even in the 24th Century, her rose is only in bloom for a short time, before middle-age even gets to kick in. How is that an improvement, over today's medicine? A much longer lifespan without an extended period of actual youthfulness is hardly a benefit.

Eh...or maybe in the future, the future people just don't care about such things.

However he does look pretty good for early 70s (per TNG: Home Soil & Conundrum) or even Patrick's age of ~62.

I don't think using Patrick Stewart as an example for this is fair. Have a look at how well Jonathan Frakes or any of the other actors have held up over the years. They haven't...not really.

LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn and Brent Spinner (apart from his hair) aren't looking too bad either. Gates McFadden and Marina Sirtis haven't aged quite as well, but I'd say that Frakes is probably the one that's changed the most and that's more weight gain than true aging.

Burton, Dorn, Spinner are all showing their age...just like the women although Jeri Ryan and Roxanne Dawson aren't, at least not to me but then what do I know....

Don't misunderstand me. Showing your age is not necessarily looking bad. It's just...showing your age.

Garrett Wang looks suspiciously...much the same.

I must be Frank & Ernest, when I saw Nemesis, I was angry at the director for letting the cast look like complete and utter shite. Marina, who - for years - had looked so amazingly amazing was getting long in the tooth and now, we have a 20something Shinzon acting like she's the sexiest babe in STAR TREK.

I don't blame him for not getting with Donatra, because that rubber head and that awful hair wouldn't pass when he wanted to show her off at parties (which Romulans would, obviously, not be in attendance of). But Troi's looking very motherly, by this time and his desire for her only brought emphasis to this point, which I felt was unfair to Marina. Railing on about her 'beauty' would be like, when a bartender asks a 30something for her ID at a bar. It's like, "come on ..." who you foolin'?

Sir Patrick Stewart was so decrepit that I was actually kind of upset, with that huge close-up of him the movie practically started with, at the wedding reception. I was all like, "no ... NO!!! Oh, the years have not been kind Patrick ... no ....you look so BAD!!!" He was ... BEYOND old!

Jonathan Frakes looked really haggard ... unfit. When looking cool is your job, that's not a very smart thing to do. He blames STAR TREK a lot, for holding back his career, but come on Frakes. You just stopped trying. I don't know what it is with married people ... put a gold band on their ring finger and they let themselves go. I'm a Catholic, so getting divorced is very much frowned upon. But I'd be so tempted if my wife did that to me. Hey ... I'll even exercise, with you. We'll do it, together and I will support you 100%, every step of the way. Even when you try to slip, occasionally. But don't do this to me ... you know?
