I've been told by a few women that they envy that men can change their appearance so easily by changing or shaving their beards. Who needs makeup? Built-in variety!

And women can alter their appearance just as dramatically by changing the style and/or color of their hair. Or adding a couple of inches to their height with heels. Or stuffing a few extra pounds of fat into a girdle, or whatever the hell they wear these days.

So? I was relating what some women told me re whether women disliked facial hair. There's no denying someone can change their appearance via hair color and length, and fashion.

Where do you find this kind of completely baseless assertions, and how do you manage to say them with the boldest face? It's a gift, really.

From women...who else? Oh of course I have seen polls and the like in magazines over the years, but I think it's fairly common to hear that women think men under 50 with beards are usually hiding something they are not happy with, or some personality issue. Now whether those actually exist in those men is a totally different matter..

If you get enough women with SO's who wear beards or stubble in a private moment, the vast majority will tell you they hate facial hair.

Well women with some tone look a hell of a lot better than the scrawny models and actresses I usually see, regardless of what they're wearing.

I guess it's relative. I look a lot better in my muscle shirt than someone with man boobs. Must be a great fashion statement!
