Why aren't man boobs atractive?

How did he get us all into this thread? Some kind of booby trap?

BTW, the timing for me is quite funny...

I needed to see my surgeon today, but her a.m. appointments in the regular Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clinic, where I normally see her, were totally booked, so they scheduled me in the afternoon at the Breast Center.

But I look better with a beard!

(although not right now. "No Shave November" has caused me to look completely ridiculous)

Well, we'll see. Not being able to shave this past month has made me grow a little resentful of my beard. As soon as I'm able, I will probably hack all/most of it off.

Countdown till somebody posts the Fat Bastard/Hindenburg threadbomb in 5...4...3... :p

You rang?

I've went beardless recently and looking at the pictures of me with facial hair I'm not even sure what I was thinking really.

I was more successful with women when I had a beard and mustache. Although I had a completely different lifestyle, too, being twenty-five years younger.

As for man boobs: If they were attractive, most men would just get fat and play with themselves.

Most women see beards as men subconsciously hiding something...sometimes it's conscious! I've always recommended to guys NOT to wear beards.
Where do you find this kind of completely baseless assertions, and how do you manage to say them with the boldest face? It's a gift, really.

I'd also like to point out that men aren't sexy if they're too buff. Athletes are overrated.

I always figured it had some tie to sexual selection. Maybe men are attracted to breasts on women because they signal that this woman would be good at feeding kids. I wonder if there are any gay men who find breasts on either sex to be interesting.

Eh, it's a cultural thing. Beards and facial hair in general go in and out of fashion. For a while Roman emperors went clean-shaven, then they favored beards. It's the same in our culture: in the 19th century men wore really flamboyant styles of facial hair (huge lambchops, amazing mustaches..), and now we're all...beardless. I stay shaved (except for Asimov-lite sideburns) because my attempt at a goatee made me look like a sketchy slacker like those guys in Knocked Up.

Also related: 73.6% of all statistics are made up.

I like to think that the style of the Manly Man is making a comeback. We're talking beards, hairy chests, flannel, the works!

I got some and you would think I would get plesaure from staring at them constantly but they don't do nothing for me unlike female boobs. I mean other than female boobs being able to produce milk what the difererence?

Jason

The answer is very simple. I'm going to guess that you, Jason, are a hetero male. Straight guys are attracted to women, while gay guys are attracted to men. Since I'm assuming you are straight, I say you will be attracted to the female form like female boobs, butts, legs, belly buttons, curves, eyes, lips... um... back on topic. Straight women will be attracted to ... uh... (I'm just guessing here) male abs, arms, and such. I'm not sure what gay men find attractive, so I'm not going to pretend to know. Perhaps someone else can elaborate. With men being more visually stimulated, it is only natural for you to find pleasure staring at women bodies. I don't need to post that Lucy Pinder & Michelle Marsh swimsuit again to make my point.

We also must discuss what human beings find attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is true. But if I am to generalize, there is one trait that is almost universal in both male and female that determine attractiveness. It is how healthly one person is. Working out, staying fit. I think it's part of our genes to seek out significant others that are physically fit to mate with. It's more of a survival trait. Look up images of models (either gender) you'll find, they are mostly young, heathly, and fit. Male boobs are generally not associated with fitness, while stuff like six packs abs are linked to fitness. Again, no need to post pictures of male and female models to make my point, unless you guys and gals would like some eye candy.

If you don't believe me, take a look at the women of ancient Greece. I'm no expert, so the following is only what I saw on TV. There are generally two types of women. Those who eat, and those who can't afford to. With the inequality of genders of the day, women either don't, or aren't allowed, to exercise. The women can afford to eat, appear healthier and more attractive than their starving, bony counterparts. But then there's the third type of women: the women of Sparta. From their warrior culture, women are "allowed" or "encourage" to exercise. They are the most beatiful of them all. Remember Helen of Troy, the most beautiful woman. She was originally Helen of Sparta.
