Why are there no overweight or obese people in Star Trek?

If Riker wasn't overweight by the latter seasons I'm in a lot better shape than the mirror would indicate.

Also, when Frakes and Sirtis try to squeeze into those uniforms in the ENT finale it's pretty amusing too - neither one is exactly in tip top shape any more.
