This one is more of an amusing Whovian-adjacent item, but WTH: https://news.avclub.com/david-tennant-makes-last-ditch-effort-to-stop-entire-pl-1840016047
Not really humour but didn't think it needed a separate thread. A family of British ex-pats living in Australia have setup their own Doctor Who themed Christmas display. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-12-22/doctor-who-lands-in-ipswich-west-of-brisbane/11821758 What makes this one a bit different is some whats on display are actual props from that where used in the production.
I like the one reply someone did: How many Doctor Who fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Three. One to change it, and two to argue about how much better the old one was and predict how soon the new one will burn out. I love it! Especially as someone who always thought that Tennant's sex appeal was a major mark against him as the Doctor. Seeing the Daleks next to the police car reminds me of when the police found those stolen Daleks in 1973. Come to think of it, maybe the police car is a regeneration of Ford Timelord!
I was watching the trailer for the new Sony movie based on the Marvel comic book Morbius: The Living Vampire. I spotted Matt Smith in the trailer (around the 2:11 mark) with his hair looking pretty much how it did during his Doctor Who run. So then my mind immediately started working and I remembered that (1.) Morbius was a rogue Time Lord that fought the 4th Doctor and (2.) the Time Lords fought a massive war against the Great Vampires during the ancient days of Gallifrey. I'm now working overdrive to figure out how a Time Lord became a vampire and what the 11th Doctor is going to do about it!
You guys are serious about asking people to stay home. The government sent out a dalek to order you to stay inside
There was a photo of a line of those on a bridge and I thought why not fit the guns with santizer or hand wash?
Last time the Daleks were marching around the suburbs giving orders, it was part of a larger plot to use the Reality Bomb to destroy the universe. I’m very wary of listening to anything that they have to say.
Would look better with just highlights and not the whole vat of bleach dye blech dumped over his head... which gives me an idea... Still, it's also perfect choice of background hue to complement his red/orange style too...
Worst. Tease. Ever. On their parts... ...pun not intended... ...but made up for with the painting and dialogue excellently acted. And I regret cutting off my mullet that was forming now that I'm seeing it on everyone else. I'll get used to it, it'll grow on me... /tooselfawarepun
A twofer here: Who better to judge Whovian cosplays than The Doctors themselves? Plus a proper interview with the two: I'm not a really fan of James Corden (his appearances on Doctor Who or his talk show) but this was a lot of fun.
