Poll Who would you like to see be Discovery's next captain?

My first choice was Number One. But since it doesn't look like that'll happen, let me say not who I'd want the Captain to be but what qualities I'd like the Captain to have.

I want the next Captain to be the following things:
1. A woman.
2. Someone who will piss off the Usual Suspects because she does her job competently.
3. Someone who can stick around for longer than a season.

It could be. It could also be another previously unseen Captain. As long as they're in that mold. Like I said, Number One was my first choice. There have to be a lot of women who could be Captains. All they have to do is pick one. Story-wise, Burnham isn't quite ready for the position yet at this point.

I've started catching up with Tin Star, which stars Tim Roth. As Tim is spending time in Canada these days, I wouldn't be adverse to them somehow getting him as the next Captain, perhaps even the infamous Captain Ron Tracey that some are so concerned about.

One the other hand, with Tim's career in general and Tin Star in particular, he'd probably want to have it in his contract that he's allowed to say "fuck" whenever he wants to. Not that I'd be bothered.

I really don't want this revolving captaincy thing to continue, and I want the captain to be someone we already know. So because they probably won't do my favourite option of somehow bringing the real Georgiou back, it basically means either Burnham or Saru.
