Who Would You Get a Crush On?

I was always rather fond of this lady with the red hair:

I just revisited this place to say that HEY, I KNOW THAT ASHLEY JUDD WAS 22 YEARS OLD when she was on the show, ALRIGHT, SO IT'S ALRIGHT if I think that she was insanely hot EVEN THOUGH she might or might not have looked considerably younger.....
….Right?
YES, OF COURSE.....
Also, there was of course Beth Toussaint and Rosalyn Landor who were both *all woman.*

I don't know how to edit so I'll just correct myself and write 23-- SHE WAS TWENTY-THREE (even though she looked fresh out of high school), DANG IT. So stop STARING at me.... Hahaha.

I don't understand exactly what you're saying about Ashley Judd, are you saying you're relieved she's 22/23 because you found her very attractive, but you were worried she was a teenager and you were being creepy?

I was talking to a friend of mine recently while watching an episode of Next Generation, I think it might've been late Season 2, and I felt really creepy myself for crushing a little on Wesley (he looked REALLY cute) and I looked it up and realized Wil Wheaton was only 17 when he filmed that episode, so yes I think I've officially moved into creeper zone. :(

Biological attraction is normal human behavior. To mimic Data, "what is known as unrequited love" sometimes happens between people. It happens, we're biological beings and not Borg, which a fair amount of people seem to want to become. Where are the space hippies when you really want them? And to further refine and define, "creepy" seems more genuinely unnerving if someone consciously forces themselves onto someone unwilling. It is definitely awkward if one is on either side of unrequited love but that's going to happen once in a while. But "creepy" just seems to be in a malevolent category whereas "awkward" lacks the same underlying context and most people constrain themselves if they find someone attractive and to be mindful of their personal space. Your sharing suggests no malicious or malevolent intent, none that I can fathom at any rate.

If I understand humanity correctly; I'd been sexually assaulted and molested enough times in the past to be a little unsure. Maybe one assault episode was just the lady being so wanting, but when they're lunging at you without your consent there are only so many ways to perceive the situation at that time. Which makes it easier to try to figure out, fewer chances to be incorrect in perception. (If nothing else, the peer who wanted to jump my bones did eventually find someone and, almost a year later, the minister informed the congregation of the birth of Ca-- yeah, eidetic memories are much fun to have when it comes to remembering all sorts of experiences.)

Physiologically, there is absolutely no difference between 17 & 18 for most people. An urge to think they're attractive at one age is no more inappropriate than it is at the other. Law has to be established as to when to treat someone as an adult. That is where you draw the line, when you know they aren't of age, you make the appropriate attitude adjustment. Denying biology by calling it creepy just makes things worse.

To that point, Yes, Lefler is HOT, & is also an academy grad, so probably at least 21:D

No one.

I can't say there's anyone in oldTrek that I ever found particularly sexy.

Thank you both kindly, I felt rather bad because I was watching this episode while talking to my friend, and my exact words to her were "I want to eat his face" (not literally obviously, you know what I mean lol), and she asked me "isn't he a teenager?", so I panicked and looked up Wil Wheaton's age and sure enough he was 17 at that time, so I sort of freaked out on myself. I feel maybe part of my issue too is I look considerably younger than I really am, like right now I'm 35 but most people tell me I look like I'm in my early 20s, and I looked like a high school student when I was really in my 20s, so maybe there's some psychological effect of projecting my own body issues onto him, imagining he's really older than he looks? Oh dear, well whatever will make me feel better, right?

...I'm 35 but most people tell me I look like I'm in my early 20s, and I looked like a high school student when I was really in my 20s,...
Off topic, I had the same "problem" and was carded at restaurants & bars until almost 30. Today, at 72, people usually guess late 50s or early 60s which is kind of flattering but it is mostly due to the hair.
On topic, I always had a thing for Dr. Crusher who is "only" 69. I still find her attractive and probably will 'til I croak.

Meh... Young people are just generally better looking than older people, by most metrics. Your opinion of that doesn't necessarily change all that much lol

I'm pretty sure Jennifer Lawrence was barely over 20 when she 1st did her X-Men/Hunger Games stuff, which was when I 1st became aware of her, & I was just over double that age, but I couldn't help finding her gorgeous. I'm pretty sure she was portraying a teen in them too, & she probably didn't look all that different 3 or 4 years earlier

It's all fantasy though. There's a pretty 20 year old girl at work here, & we have absolutely nothing in common. It's not even remotely realistic. Movies/tv are complete fallacy

Thanks for sharing! (Your avatar pic does make you look 20-something for sure. Mine just makes me look like an alien penguin, my nose really isn't that big.)

But there's no need to freak out either which way. :) Relationships between people of varying decades are not uncommon and are due to mutual interests or desires as opposed to the typical clichés accorded what the younger person is typically said to want when attaching to someone several decades older. ~10 year difference is one thing, so's 20, though I usually look for people roughly 10 years or closer, but it's not my business either way.

...Well, there's no need to freak out unless you listen to "Le Freak" by Chic... :D

About Don Cornelius' statement of "Whatever that means" - the way he says it is hilarious, which works in its own context. BUT there is a story behind the song's creation that's worth looking up, and as the legendary Nile Rogers is involved it makes the whole thing that much more noteworthy...

I'm in my middish-40s, look younger, feel like I'm in my 70s, and act as if I'm in my 20s and even teaching sailors new words at times. So it almost averages out. :D

Yeah, aging happens and many people as they get older still seek out companionships and stuff and accept it. Well, I say "many", I've also read up on some who don't and why. Might be their individual perceptions, I'd hope.

It's all not unlike Admiral Hansen from TBOBW pt1 commenting on Lt. Shelby? That's something I never realized in 1990 but having rewatched a few years ago and realized that was one of the cleverer ways to keep "season one Roddenberryisms"(tm) around but on a level more subtle than episodes like "Justice" had, oh my.

You need to apply what I used to call Natalie Portman thinking (till it was ruined by recent revelations about Luc Benson.)
Basically, how old were you, in relation to the actor/character when you first saw them and/or fancied them. If I consider Natalie Portman attractive in say the publicity photos from Leon, it’s basically O.K because she’s older than me, and I would have been younger than her when the film came out (too young to see the film, hence the publicity shot) if some old dude or dudette did, then icky. This doesn’t mean I can now go ‘phwoar’ at that shot now...I can only use nostalgia lenses ‘teenage me liked her, I remember being teenage me’. Otherwise yeah, creepy central.
Of course, having since found out about a few things...Besson, his first mrs, the content of the directors cut etc...this entire rule is need of a new example and naming convention. I was thinking of maybe Lex in Jurassic Park, since again, from my perspective, she’s older, and twelve year old me had her pic on the wall. But Twelve year old me had most of the cast of JP on the wall, and still finds Ellie Satler very cute when she’s at the dog site in the denim and the hat. Edit: dig site. Dig site. Gah.

But basically, if wil is older than you. You win.

Thank you everyone, your messages have really helped me feel less awkward. I think I really understand what you'e saying @jaime, and I feel I can latch on to that also, lol. Wil is 10 years older than me, I was like 8 years old when I was first watching Next Generation, but I can't say I had a crush on him back then, I never really thought romantically of him before a few weeks ago when I was watching that episode (I think it was The Royale) with my friend and we were both talking about how cute Wesley is, and I really started noticing he really is cute, and there's just something incredibly adorable about his face at that time, and my hormones were up so I was worried I just got a little carried away, but oh dear he really just was so cute, you know?

I mean just look at him!
