My one hope is that with the third season where it is, without TOS stuff for them to obsess over the mere presence of, bashers will get bored and move on. From what I can tell, the only thing that was keeping them going with Disco in the first place was complaining about how it butted up against TOS and Burnham being Spock's sister. They don't care about anything else in the series, unless it's for mock-outrage purposes.

For Picard fans, take it from me, you're going to just looooove the stalwart TNG gatekeepers who'll complain about everything PIC does. Then you'll see what we've had to deal with when it came to stalwart TOS gatekeepers.

TPTB have stated multiple times it’s a sequel to TNG but definitely not TNG 2.0
I’m going in with an open mind. I hope Picard is genuinely good. If it has only mediocre writing and story, I know Sir Patrick can carry it to a much higher level. But if it’s pure crap, there is nothing any one person can do. I do hope that he signed up because the script and plot is actually genuinely good. With good script, Sir Patrick can carry Picard and rest of Star Trek to the next level. We shall see soon enough (is it 2020 yet?)

I just hope it's written well. Kurtzman is the show runner for all things Trek but he isn't writing this series. I think that's a good thing. Based on the trailers and what the cast has said already, this TNG fan is pretty excited to see what happens.

Hi, longtime member here. I just wanted to express my discontent over the missing picard subforum. This is yet again a example of community oppression. Clearly the mods and admins have a hidden agenda as to why we don’t appear to deserve a Picard subforum at this point in time.

What are you hiding Trekbbs? We want the truth!

Coming soon to a Midnight's Edge YouTube video! Has CBS fallen behind in their payments to the clearly bias and Bad Robot plant-infested TrekBBS? Is the lack of a Picard forum the few remaining True Trek moderators taking a stand? Where does fired and disgraced, but somehow still being paid 7 figures Alex Kurtzman fit into this?

Principal photography ends this week and it heads to post. Hopefully some news will follow soon.

Just made an official request. If this guy has time for bedbugs, he might as well order Trekbbs to create the new subforum:

I just looked through this guy's poster history. Some stuff to unpack there.

But anyway, if someone ever told Trump about Star Trek, I'm sure the first thing he'd say is, "I can't keep up with all these Star Wars movies! Give me a break! Is that the one where they say 'Use the force, Harry'? But I like the guy in all black who has a breathing problem. Strong leader."
