Yes....that's what he doesn't get. When ex-CIA director Hayden remarked today that "You're not responsible for what you say, you're responsible for what people hear," That's something Trump REALLY needs to understand. He's made it his brand out on the campaign trail of saying whatever he wants, as well as welcoming any and all wingnuts from the fringe into his fold. And, unlike McCain -- who admirably tried to snuff out the worst of the Obama-phobia in 2008 -- Trump both encourages and stirs up the hate. He plays into it and he doesn't tone anything down at all.
People at that rally knew exactly what he meant. Look at the reaction of some of the people behind him. If he meant "get out and vote," they wouldn't have reacted the way they did. He is literally working them into a frenzy of hate, and all it takes is one of those idiots who has his mind so twisted from years of talk radio lies about Democrats repealing the 2nd Amendment, and who thinks that Hillary is the worst criminal of the last hundred years, to snap if Trump loses badly on November 8th, especially since Trump has been preaching the "the election is rigged!" line. Just one.
I'm very disappointed in the Republicans. They have defended the indefensible.
