Yes, if he actually meant "votes" he wouldn't have followed by saying that it would be a horrible thing. Votes would be a good thing. The murder of Clinton would be the horrible thing.

"Second Amendment people" doing something was in the case that Trump lost the election, after voting is irrelevant. He wasn't talking about voting.

This is absolutely astounding. I expected a swift rebuke from all sides of the Republican spectrum, but you have some people actually excusing what he said. Unbelievable. And since he wasn't specific about calling for assassination, since it was sorta-kinda implied in a jokey manner, the Secret Service probably won't be hauling him in to explain himself. There's some wiggle room for him, since he said it obliquely. Sigh.....
I crossed enemy lines and looked at conservative blogs and websites to see what they were talking about, and they're all parroting the same lines about how the media is jumping on this to blow it out of proportion. But again, imagine if Obama had made some sort of joke like this. They wouldn't shut up about it for a year straight, and concocting stories of him recruiting a secret Black Muslim paramilitary organization.
In other news, apparently they are trying to spin some conspiracy about Hillary's health. She was photographed needing assistance while walking up some stairs, and she misspoke the other day and said "My husb--" before catching herself and saying "My opponent..."
Seriously? FDR was 70 years ago and the Secret Service had to do all sorts of things to help him in public. Of course, back then the press was actually somewhat honorable and didn't take or publish photos of him being carried, or the portable ramps, etc. But so what if she was unsteady on some stairs? If that is the sort of stuff they have to occupy themselves with, they know their nominee is going to lose. Sheesh.

What scares me the most about this is, no matter what he meant, if he loses the election (and I really hope he does), all it'll take is for him to say that the election was rigged, and some of his more ardent supporters might actually try and assassinate Hillary.
