Who else deserves the "autobiography" treatment?

At the risk of being obvious, it's not really about who "deserves" an autobiography. It's about whose autobiography would have the most commercial appeal. Which means we're probably talking a big-name, high-profile character.

Aside from the various captains, you can make a case for Worf since he checks a lot of boxes: TNG, DS9, the popularity of Klingons in general. Plus, it doesn't hurt that he has a rather rich and elaborate backstory and the inherent drama of being one of the first Klingons in Starfleet.

I think O'Brien, with all his experiences and different perspectives of his time in the service.

Thank you. The term "deserves" drives me nuts. No character deserves anything.

Well, I harp on it only because, in general, one often sees discussions on which show "deserved" a movie or another season or whatever, which always strikes me as a kinda ivory-tower way of looking at things, that often seems entirely divorced from the practical realities of ratings, box office appeal, and so on.

See also complaints that we don't "need" a SPIDER-WOMAN movie or whatever.

As opposed to all the sci-fi movies that were absolutely imperative? :)

I want Sisko's to be a biography, not an autobiography. I think it would be nice to have it be Jake's biography of his father.
Of all the captains, I feel like DS9's was the least backward-looking too. Aside from Michael Jan Friedman doing his thing in Saratoga, we really know not a whole lot of Sisko's past. I'd love to see, rather than "a retelling of the Bajoran relief efforts and the Dominion War," more focus on the Siskos -- his relationship with his father and with Jennifer and with Jake, his days on the Saratoga -- what did he think of the Cardassian Border Wars before he was involved? -- and, heck, finally to see the Tzenkethi war(s) fleshed out, and how that would prepare him for his role in the Dominion War.
I love this idea.

Every Trek character Vaughn Armstrong ever played. :mallory:

I see your Vaughn Armstrong and I raise a Tom Morga. Every Tom Morga is actually one of several Chameloids that have invaded Starfleet, the Cardassian Union, the Romulan Star Empire, the Klingons, etc.

I had to look Tom Morga up, and now I'm surprised I never heard of him. The guy was active from TMP all the way to the final season of Enterprise.

Same here. It's pretty impressive he was on so much, but managed to stay under the radar. Now if I ever have a chance to put together a Trek trivia contest, I've got a question that will probably stump the majority of people.

It should be a character associated with a famous character and also likely to (ghost)write an autobiography, since I want the book to be inventive and definitive (as a resource), not just compile and weave between a ton of details I can track down via Memory Beta. That also tells me that any future sources are unlikely to cover the same territory.

For instance, Lukara.
