Which Superpower Would You Want?

For me, it's a tough call between the ability to stop and start time at will (with the caveat that I wouldn't age while time is stopped and it wouldn't restart till I told it to, i.e. I could catch up on sleep :D) and automatic regeneration (preferably without pain, but that might be too much to ask.)

The first one that comes to mind is the ability to fly, and of course the power of regeneration. My choice would definitely be Peter's ability to absorb the powers of others.

Another interesting power would be Micah's ability to "talk" to machines. Think of the money you could make by setting up your own repair shop to fix practically anything!

Time control. It'd be awesome for sleeping in. It'd also be great for higher education.

Then there's the obvious stuff about stealing things while everyone else is frozen.

The only way I'd want to take on the power to absorb other people's powers is if I was absolutely sure other people even HAD powers. If I was given a 50/50 chance between choosing one power and choosing the ability to MAYBE absorb powers from the rest of humanity who might not even have any powers, I'd be VERY tempted to just pick a power other than absorption and move on. Really interesting decision.

Bulrog's power is that he has many powers:

>Flight (w-Forcefield Protection)
>Temporal & Spacial Manipulation (w-Pinpoint Control & Accuracy)
>Healing Factor (w-Regenerative Blood)
>Telepathy & Telekinesis (w-Astral Projection)
>Elemental Fury Control (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Metal, Wood)
>Elemental Bending (Earth & Metal, Water & Plant & Blood, Fire & Lightning, and Wind)
>Force Control (Light, Gravity, Electromagnetism, Nuclear)
>Doctor-Donna Intelligence
>Wizard Level Magics
>Dresden's Soulfire

Artifacts:
-Sonic Screwdriver
-Bob The Skull
-Eye Of Agamotto
-Eye Of Odin
-Helmet Of Fate
-Phoenix Gate
-Grimorum Arcanorum
-The Ten Rings
-Spell-Etched Leather Duster
-Elder Wand
-Sword Of Omens
-Dresden's Shield Bracelet 2.0
-Dr. Horrible's Goggles
-Gummi Berry Juice
-Harry Dresden's .44 Revolver
-Zoe's Sawed-Off Shotgun
-Rocketeer's Rocket-Pack

Note: I just keep adding things as I think of them, so redundancies in powers or abilities may definitely occur.

If you're gonna dream, dream big.

So, which power would you want?

Immortality, or just simple agelessness if immortality is too "big" to claim as a single power.

Now, that's something I would never want. Not in this life, anyway. I know I'll have eternal life in the next one, though. ;)

Are you sure about that? :p Frankly, immortality would be useless if you didn't have invulnerability or regeneration. Just think, you could get shot and blown up and still be alive!

How about immorality? Would that be considered a power? :)

I'd like to change power every week or so, because I'm afraid to get bored.

I always dreamed about flight. It's the very first power I'd like to have.

If not available, teleport anytime and anywhere (like Hiro) but I don't care about time control. I sure would love to visit other time periods.

I want to say all of Superman's powers...but I'll be original and say vamping, like Nightcrawler...or would it be considered teleporting?

I would want a Green Lantern Power Ring - or the power of the Starheart which is pretty much the same thing.

Britain. Or maybe Spain, as long as I could change the fashions. But definitely one of the naval superpowers. Rome and its roads can suck it.

Oh, wait, you guys mean the other kind of superpower.

:D Marian

The unassuming power of Doug Ramsey - Cypher of the New Mutants. Most super-abilities will get you noticed by someone, or get you in trouble if you lose control or your temper. With the late Doug's translation power, no one's going to point at me and say : "Hey! That freak can speak fifteen languages! Get em before he gets the Colonel's Secret Recipe!" No language, dead, alien, coded, computer, whatever is closed to you, and even if you never program a single line, jobs are open to you that would be for no one else. Best of all, barring some kind of mutant detector, this just seems like an enhanced talent. No Mrs. Kravitz with : "Abner! He's reading De Mortibus Persecutorum in the ORIGINAL PRE-VULGATE LATIN!!!!"

New Abilities Just thought of...
>Shawn Spencer's "Psychic" Powers
>Bullseye's Aim
>Tim Drake's Deductive Reasoning
>Po's Variant of the 'Wuxi Finger Hold'
>Kyle XY's Holographic Memory.

New Artifacts...
>TARDIS (Gotta have a base of operations after all, so why not a mobile one.)

You know, I thought about taking Dresden's Staff, but that just seemed like overkill... :D

Seriously though, I tend to think of the gnarled rune enscribed staff which was made from the old tree on Ebenezer's farm that got struck by lightning, you know...the one from the books, not the Hockey stick that came from the TV Show. (I did like the concept of disguising his magical foci as everyday objects though)

No offense to the show of course, as I loved their version of Bob, but the books are the source material everything built off of, and I tend to remember them over anything else. I wish Sci-Fi had kept it going. (Painkiller Jane & Flash Gordon could've paid for 2 seasons of Dresden easy.)

That reminds me, I'll need "The Word of Kemmler" if I have any hope of necromancing up a SUE anytime in this century. Ah Harry, always skirting the laws.

I'm tacking on Grenades as well. Ramirez would have Grenades like Batman.

Which reminds me...

>Batwing (with Remote Control) ala B:TAS verison

also

>Dhampir Powers (with no Blood Lust)

and a

>Pokeball (Just think, Cloverfield would of been over in literally 2-seconds if Ash Ketchum has been in town.)

Er, Nightcrawler, is a vampire?
ssshhhut up, Joe Quesada may be lurking, looking for ideas!!

and yeah, that's "bamf", which predates Dane Cook's skit by a couple decades.
