Which ship is yours?

I would go with Intrepid class. Max speed of 9.975, lots of firepower, cuts out all the extra junk on the Galaxy class models but still very capable of scientific missions, unlike the Defiant. Plus it has spiffy pivoting nacelles! The bio-neural circuitry upgrades over the duotronic circuits, the EMH and the durability also big pluses to me.

Great job in giving the Intrepid class it's due, it's also my choice. I however would like to see it with a cloaking device a bit more firepower
and a little extra warp speed, lets say to 9.985...

Weren't there eight decks?

no.. if you look at a technical manual, it says that it has 7 decks....

No, it had eight decks, which was seen on screen:

For me, I would have something really small, with no crew to get in my way... maybe something like this:

^ Those links don't work :(

NX-class. Moreso because of the era it's in, the whole galaxy is still new. Most people will probably try to kill me, but the NX-class is tried and tested in battle, and apparently can keep flying with most of its hull and a warp nacelle pummelled :p

That, and y'know... I like retro.

it didnt say that it had 8 decks when i looked at a ship tech manual at STTE before they closed...

i could be wrong but i would like proof. those links are dead... so i look on my own...

Hmm, how odd. Anyway, this iss what I posted:

And my ship:

Now that i think of it, I also like the Akira class....but i'd give it more phaser arrays than it has. A ship can't operate with torps as it's primary attack mode.

And i didn't get sexually aroused or anything like that while writing that response earlier. Jeeze louise, I was just being specific. The question was what would your ship be, and I my response was simply detailed. I can't answer that question without those specifics because that's WHY i'd choose the ship itself. I can't help that, I design my own ships so I naturally think of these things.

Aquila-class cruiser. Only one built. Special Operations vessel. U.S.S Aquila, NX-77000.

Fast and nimble, deploying task forces/covert operatives, humanitarian supplies, stocks and if neccessary, can be converted into a mass troop ship and search and rescue operations.

Advanced ablative hull for deep nebula and intensive gasious atmosphere penetration.

C/O: Commander Mark Henson
Ship's Complement: 138
8 x Type-X, 8 photon, 2 quantum
Max Speed: Warp 9.992 (16 hours)
Max Continuous: Warp 9.988
Mass: 747,970 metric tonnes
Length: 394m
Decks: 9
Shuttle Bay: 8-birth and standard fighter complement

I thought the reply was to be about canon ships, not that I don't like seeing new fan created ships (I actually really like it.)

USS Enterprise, Constitution class starship, circa 2245.

And I mean the original, not Mr Abrams' Dinghy of Suckitude!

I would have to go for a Romulan Warbird. As powerful as a galaxy class ship, and possibly the prettiest ship that trek has ever seen

Sticking with canon vessels alone, the Sovereign.

Yeah, it's a stunning rendition. This is the only other pic I've got:

Grabbed the pics from a thread in the Trek XI forum a couple months back. There might be some others around, try googling for Madkoifish. :)

Someone else did a kick-ass shuttle to go with it.

As much as I like it (and I like it a LOT, should have been the "new" Enterprise), I still think I prefer the original Great Grey Ladies...

Just admit it, you sprung wood.

PS: What the fuck is a phaser drone?

For me it would have to be either the Galaxy or Sovereign. They're big, have all the creature comforts for those long range exploration missions, and they can kick serious ass when needed! These are also my choices from an aesthetic point of view.

I like the one we use in our RPG, loosely based on a particular non-canon class which shall remained unspecified (at least by me), but we call our home away from home USS Vanguard (NCC-91000). It's a nice, tough, mid-sized, no-nonsense design intended to deal with Borg and Dominion vessels and more than a little controversial in the post-War fleet, which adds to the drama in the campaign.
