TOS era:
The Constiution Class. The most beautiful science fiction space craft ever designed. A perfect balance of exploratory and defensive capability for the 23rd century.
TNG era:
The Galaxy Class. The 24th century equivalent of the Constitution, this is the ship the exemplifies exploration when compared with other 24th century designs and with burst fire torpedo launchers and massive phaser arrays this is a ship that can take care of its crew.
Get outta Town! Really? Who's doing it and when is it coming out?The Akira-Class. Always loved the design, since I first saw it in First Contact. They're finally coming out with a model kit of this baby!

1st choice:
I'd want a Galaxy class. I'd retrofit it with a more powerful warp core and uprated phaser arrays in the Sovereign power range. Then, I'd want to install a phaser drone launcher which can launch charged phaser drones that when depleted return to the ship. I'd also install full fighter squadrans, with delta flyer type and danube type shuttles. Also, i'd install a twin launcher on deck 11, at the foward edge of the ventral primary hull, and two launchers aft on the neck, just below the shuttle bays, both able to fire quantum torpedo's. Ablative hull armor would also be applied, and the fancy armor generator's would be incorporated into the shield grid for seemles activation between shields and armor. I'd also have the peak warp factor boosted as much as possible. Instead of a maximum warp of 9.6 (1,915.2 times the speed of light) , i'd have it be warp 9.99 (7900.2 times the speed of light). I'd also install bio-neural gel packs to compliment the isolinear technology. I'd have more tactical teams, scientific teams, medical teams, etc. as well, boosting my overall crew into the 1200 range, and i'd install another computer core in the secondary hull to backup the single one already there. Then i'd also install kitchens in most of the major messhalls and tenfoward to prepare freshly cooked meals. It'd boost moral with a home cooked meal, and save massive amounts of energy from the replicator system. There would also be several hydroponics bays around the ship to grow the food, and maybe a butchery for the meat (although I may allow using the replicators for any meat storage, and limit meat meals to once a week for power saving reasons. Though a butchery would be better admitadly.) And i'd add regenerative shields.
2nd choice:
An intrepid class. I'd retrofit this one as well, though not as extensively. I'd largen the shuttle bay for one. It's too tiny. Then, i'd add two extra aft phaser strips port and starboard of the shuttlebay for better aft coverage. I'd also have more of a compliment of torpedo's. 100 photon, and 100 quantum's should do it. There is plenty of space on an Intrepid class, it's similar in size to an excelsior, and almost the same size as a Constitution. Then one foward tube and aft tube would fire a quantum, and the other would fire a photon. I'd also redo the interior with more comforting tones than the cold metallics Voyager had. I'd also want to include some families and civilians, and definatly kitchens like my Galaxy with all the components needed for one. My crew would be boosted in the 200 range including the civilians and families. My phaser output would also be boosted to an uprated galaxy power output, and i'd activate the second warp core for extra power. I'd also add the armor generator integrated into the shield grid, and regenerative shields, and a phaser drone launcher.
3rd choice:
An uprated Ambassador class. I've always liked this design, I think it looks regal. I'd add more aft phaser arrays, and a ventral secondary hull array. However, even though it doesn't show it on screen, the ship should have one anyway. Andrew Proberts original design had a ventral array, and so did the redraw. I think that because the episode was rushed, the props department accidentally left it out. But i would definately add aft fantail phaser strips. I'd also boost the power with a more advanced warp core of the phasers to a galaxy class' range, and install an aft torpedo launcher in the ventral secondary hull and the bottom most area (like the E-E), and one in the aft neck. In addition to the foward launcher in the neck, i'd add onethe the rim on the very foward portion as well. I'd have 200 photon's and 150 quantum's. I'd also have, like the galaxy, full fighter wings of the same type, kitchens, a bigger crew of about 1000, and i'd include a secondary warp core like the intrepid. The armor generator is a must, as well as regenerative shields, and I'd connect the saucer's phaser strips. I'd also give the saucer impulse engines since the ship can seperate, and the ability to reattach. I'd boost the max warp to aroun d the 9.9 range as well. It would also have a phaser drone launcher as well.

Refit Enterprise TMP version. Was the very first real introduction to an interstellar exploring starship. I really felt I could go aboard her.
